For Smith, that's actually sub-par...


not at alll...still one of his best, although arguably not his 'best' (Id almost reserve that for the iconic Captured / La Do Da solo)...it's a musical drum solo, in the context of rock and roll...Smith was more hard hitting back then...style has changed tho

Ahhh hahaha...I actually like Mike's playing...met him earlier this year. Turned me onto some nice drum heads

Oh no, I wasn't slighting the solo at all. It's a great rock solo and very well thought out...ESPECIALLY as a rock solo. As always, every note has meaning and was meant to be played. There's no 'filler'. The second half of the solo is particularly great. I had no idea the second half existed until I saw the DVD release (it didn't appear on the original MTV broadcast).

Just saying it's far from best drum solo ever, especially one from Steve.

Yeah, Mike is a good drummer. Just not in the same league as Smith, Dunbar and Castronovo.
