Never thought about Deen doing Sweet and Simple.... that would be good. I'd like to hear him doing WYLAW and Happy to Give.scarab wrote:Rolie,
Great stuff there, pre and post Perry.
The new Journey has been paint by the numbers or Neal solo material.
Nothing that will stand the test of time.
To hear next with Neal/Deen, or Deen singing sweet and simple would be worth the price of admission.

I love the Rolie era stuff, but some of the live versions of Revelations from that tour were amazing and I'd love to see it come back. Not so much for Eclipse, because, although I like the album, most of what I've heard doesn't translate well live.

Sit a bunch of people in an arena and Journey plays anything from Pineda or Augeri's era and the band plays Perry/Rollie Era songs. I can guarentee you more people will know and respond better to the Perry/Rollie era songs.
Let's see Perry Rollie Era
Feeling that Way/Anytime
Patiently
Just The Same Way
Too Late
Where Were You
Line Of Fire
Stay Awhile
Walks Like A Lady
Oh yeah can't forget
Wheel In the Sky
Lights
Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin
Anyway You Want It
vs
Anything from Pineda or Augeri Era
I do believe Rollie/Perry era gets more of a reception

I think it would be an awesome addition to the set. Fuck the casual fans.
