Pride Of Lions - new song "Sending My Love" live

Postby RyanHippFTW » Mon Sep 10, 2012 11:35 am

Toby's posted a video of the band playing one of the Immortal songs at their gig last week opening for Styx. "Sending My Love"

Kinda sounds like they're borrowing part of the chorus from "Everything Turns On You", one of those Fire Makes Steel demos. Anyone else hear it?

Do Pride Of Lions ever play any Survivor songs in concert?

yea, there is definitely some of that chorus in there. It's rewritten a bit, but the basic melody is still there.

The bigger thing for me is what the hell happen to Styx. They are now playing shows the caliber (not in a good way) of a city square in New Lenox, Il. I guess busting their ass like crazy over the last decade, playing well over 100 shows per year has caused some saturation in the market place, to where the best deal they can get is small shows in small exurban towns. Yikes, did they fall fast in the last 2 or 3 years.

DeYoung is playing the same caliber shows and in some cases better gigs and he is only doing a handful in comparison and was idle for awhile too. If they, Styx, have any pride - there is only one move left - reunion. They could play 40-50 shows a year, make as much if not more, and play to bigger crowds at legit venues.

Styx was better than this, even in the post-DeYoung years. I never thought they would fall to this.
