Wrestling Legend Jerry Lawler Has Heart Attack On Live TV

Postby Everett » Wed Sep 12, 2012 2:23 am

I saw this live last night. This gave bad memories of the owen hart tragedy 13 years ago.
Early reports say he suffered either a heart attack or stroke. Heres hoping for a speedy
recovery for the king.

Steaks and extra cheesy bergers catching up to him I guess. Reminds me of the time my girlfriend and I were taking a aircon victory liner from Illocos to Manila. They were playing pro-wrestling videos on the tv the entire way. Everyone in the bus was freaking at the American's throwing each other around in the videos. We were watching 8 hours of mayhem. I told my girlfiend "honey, if all this stuff your seeing was real, those guys could survive a plane crash".

Absolutely. As the wrestling "mark" that I am last night was the scariest
night of my life. There was no more commentary for the rest of the
night which made it espescially eerie. You can only imagine how
vince mcmahon himself was handling this backstage.

Interesting story. I had never heard about that crash. Sounds like at least one person had their wife with them, which the wife survived also. It must not been too much of a crash, more like a crash landing just short of a runway, pilot eventually died though. The plane crash involving Lynyrd Skynyrd was a pretty interesting read also.

I don't know about that. Lawler from the looks of him wasn't a roider. He never was a huge muscle bound freak, just a good talker who knew how to work the crowd.

No way was Lawler a roider. That's the M.O. for 99% of them for sure though. Just not in this case.

Sigh another ignoramus about professional wrestling or "wastlin" today.
The wwe has had a wellness policy since 2006 right after the eddie
gurrero tragedy. The wrestlers or "entertainers" as the are called today
are randomely tested all through the year. First penalty is 30 day
suspension 2nd penalty is 60 day suspension 3rd and final
penalty is termination from the company. Of course they
have come under scrunity from the media but for the
last half of the decade they have held their superstars
accountable. Recently superstars randy orton and
rey mysterio jr have suffered their 2nd wellness
policy and were both served 60 day suspensions.
So before you make a comment do some research
before hand please. Now you can come back with
a lame insult towards me. I'm used to it around here.

------- this clearly shows that despite being tested these dumb asses are still doing roids which only adds strength to my position, thanks for the assistance you naive ignoramus. Image

If anything, your poorly written comments actually provide support for my point. You're inferring that because wrestlers are being tested as of 2006 that Jerry lawler couldn't be using steroids (this could be the weakest opposing arguement ever) especially since Lawler started wrestling somewhere around 1970, he has got to be over 60 years old by now. Whats your arguement for the years from 1970-2006 (make sure you do better research then you did on your first set of comments)

Your comments show that there was no wellness policy prior to 2006.(not that this has anything to do with if someone is using roids or not, post 2006)The majority of Lawlers career was before anyone even thought to put these so called weak checks and balances on their "entertainers". Yeah, there was probably no way he could have been using roids pre 2006

Oh, and as far as your pity pot comments about having lame insults thrown at you. If your going to throw insults at others(such as the one you threw in your first sentence) ,expect to get them in return ,only my insults wont be lame, they will tend to just make you look like an idiot for even responding in the first place.
