Journey is second among this week's list of ten 10-grossing tours with more than $10.4 million reported from the first 19 performances on the band's 2012 tour that kicked off during the summer. This week's totals include the tour's first show at San Manuel Amphitheater in Devore, Calif. on July 21 through its Sept. 1 appearance at the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul. The tour's top attendance so far was logged at Cheyenne Frontier Days, the nine-day rodeo and western entertainment event held each summer in the Wyoming capital city. A total of 15,626 fans were in the grandstand for the concert on July 26.
Journey was last year's recipient of the "Legend of Live" Award at the Billboard Touring Awards, held during the Billboard Touring Conference each November in New York City. This year's Touring Conference will occur on Nov. 7-8 at The Roosevelt Hotel in midtown Manhattan.
Pretty damn fine job, all things considered.
