Is it the beginning of tapegate part 2?

Probably not, but after tapegate part 1, it's good to hold their feet to the fire

From Journey's facebook:

JOURNEY'S CONCERT TONIGHT IS CANCELLED

We are sorry to say that Arnel is under strict doctor's orders to rest his voice today, so unfortunately, tonight's show in Lafayette, Louisiana is cancelled.

Journey was looking forward to tonight's show after Hurricane Isaac forced the August concert to be postponed.

The band truly regrets now having to cancel the show tonight due to Arnel's illness, but hopes to be able to perform in Lafayette the next chance they get.

Journey's tour resumes as planned on October 30, 2012 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Tickets purchased for tonight's concert via internet or phone will automatically be refunded. All other tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.

If that's true, obviously not good news. AP is in his mid 40's so I'd expect something like this to happen eventually since 99% of what they do on stage live is from peak Perry performance era.

I can't imagine why it would be up on Journey's facebook page if it wasn't true.

Not tapegate. Tapegate would be the show must go on, tell me where the "Play" button is. That they are resting him maybe indicates they learned their lesson.

I wouldn't say that they just learned their lession. Maybe he can't sing right now and so they had no other choice but to let up on him for a bit.

Bullshit! If they learned their fucking lesson, they wouldn't be in this position. Perhaps they learned their lesson is with respect to lying (but I doubt it) to the psycho post-menopausal sexually or emotionally deprived housewives that patronize the band at Journey concerts.....but they certainly have not learned their lesson with respect to wasting their singers with this fucking brutal catalog night after night. Had they learned said lesson, they wouldn't be in this predicament with Arnel.

Will it lead to lipping? I personnally think that the OP is so late to the party that the only think left is a drunk pig on the floor...... I'd be a fucking monkey's uncle if someone here can prove that they aren't already fucking doing......it's too fucking easy to fool this fan base, why bother letting someone who's straining his voice when you can just push play? If people are stupid enough the accept Arnel as the new singer, they're dumb enough to accept a pre-recorded performance.

Grab a napkin, you have a bit of froth there.  :P
