Being trapped in a burning vehicle and eventually being burned to death! I'll pretty much take any other means of dying if I can be assured I don't burn to death!

That and of course Arachibutyrophobia which is the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth. Whaaat.....? It's real.... look it up!

Just for grins, I Googled "phobias" and found this site http://blog.ygoy.com/2009/07/10/list-of-phobias/ which lists all the recognized phobias - or at least all of the ones that have a name - and I was stunned by how long the list is! Some are just weird or absurd and of course there are the ones we've all heard of, then, there are some that just make you wonder how people can live day to day with some of the ridiculous phobias listed! WTF...?

I especially liked this one: Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia – Fear of long words.

Who doesn't want that to happen to them?

How many people have to feel the same fears before it's no longer catagorized as a "phobia"?

Orange haired white people with guns don't live in my neighborhood. It's the other M&Ms that make me break out.

They call mine "White Coat Syndrome". I've had hideous blood pressure spikes since I was in grade school at the doctor.

It gets harder and harder to ask them to check it a few times over 20 minutes or so now like back then since I'm so much older - so I don't go. Not putting me on meds sorry. :? It still drops but it takes much too long for these doctors now on their limited time with you, plus with my age = well, I don't like doctors. Fuck em.

I'm a mess where that is all concerned. No preaching though. My choice for now. Just answering the question.

Just over the last few years, I've developed a bit of claustrophobia and, occasionally, fear of not being able to breathe. Both probably go hand in hand due to the many sinus problems I've had.

I totally get what you're saying about "developing" a phobia recently. I've never had a fear of heights or acrophobia in my life until the last few years. When I was a kid I'd climb to the very tops of trees, as a teenager and into adulthood I'd be first in line to do work - any kind of work - on a roof no matter how high the building. Lately, if I'm too close to the edge of the roof when I'm up on mine, I get vertigo and cold sweats and literally start feeling a mini panic or anxiety attack coming on until I move back from the edge.

It's been about a year and a half, maybe two, years since I've been to the dentist. The reason being the last time I went to have a crown from a root canal finished, I had a bad sinus infection (again) and could barely breathe when they tilted me back in the dentist chair. I nearly freaked out but managed to get through it. Fortunately, I haven't needed any major work recently but I'd be hard-pressed to go even if I did. They might have to put me completely out the next time.

The real one for me is waking up dead, an ascended spirit, and watching everyone I love crying over my dead corpse, even though I am above them, watching them cry, trying to hug them, trying to love them, but no words can be exchanged. That is a real nightmare!
