Okay, I've decided that Boston isn't so cold. It's a balmy 45 degrees here today. Check out the five day forecast below for Baker Lake, Canada. Notice the "warmest" high temperature over the next 5 days is -26. WTF

Boston's climate would never allow me to be a dog owner. Any animal that needs to be taken for a walk on a 2 degree February morning is way too high maintenance for me!

We just let our dog out in the back yard. He does his business and we let him back in when he's finished. No need to put him on a leash, go outside, and walk him for 15 minutes.

This is why I enjoy dogs most when they belong to someone else. We don't have a dog now but my family did when I was a kid.

Given the 5 day forecast, you're probably not going to get much sympathy from those living in the mid-west and northeast!

That's a given and I wouldn't expect to either. This cold snap - I guess that's what you'd call it - is in its fourth day. That image was captured at about 8:30 after it had already warmed up by 2 deg. No, we've got it pretty easy weather-wise here in the Valley-of-the-Sun but when we have extremes like this or 125 deg. on the other end, it's still shocking somewhat.
Just checked the humidity and it's sitting right at 4% so yeah,....

I could not live where you live Jon, I have Sciatica and all that snow and ice would cripple me. What few storms we have here and the cold snap that has just arrived I feel like I am being stabbed with a long sharp rod in my back and hip. I would be in such a bad shape I would be lucky to walk for months. Some days now walking, sitting, and standing is excruciating.

I HATE THE COLD!

Sorry you're still dealing with the fires, Drew. As much as I hate snow and cold, I try to take he Boston winters in stride, as I know there are many parts of the world that have far more extreme and dangerous weather. Stay safe, Bud.

Yeah, it's going to be getting very cold in those parts moshi sukoshi. You'll know it's cold when consuming seal blubber becomes appetizing.

The biggest snow to ever hit Cincy dumped 17.9 inches on Feb 4th and 5th 1998, I can't fathom double that.

We're fucked! Sadly, our top 5 snowfalls of all time in Boston have all been over 20 inches. That's a fuckload of snow to get in one storm. Just for perspective, this is considered a snowy climate, and we average about 45 inches of snow per winter.
