Maybe I've got something set differently. I can access after I click around the warning but I still get the malware warning page initially. I've cleared my cache. The only add-on is ad-blocker.

Wow, FINALLY able to log on here!! The malware pop-up has stopped me from being able to log on, or post at all here. I tried getting on with my work computer, and it went right in. Guess I need to just start screwing off at work now!

Don wrote:My whole deal is I just don't like iTunes. I like to plug my phone in, drag a folder onto it and that's it. I use power amp so when I open my music player I just hit folders and bam, I'm in business. Simple as fuck. None of that synching nonsense.

Plus you just know that an Apple app on a PC has to be reverse engineering Windows......it just has to be!

Installing iTunes on PC ends up installing seven other things. You go into control panel and you are like, "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BONJOUR SHIT?"

I just opened up an ipod i bought years ago and this thing is a pos, wont synch up locks up everytime i plug it in to try to get files on it then it dies and you can't do anything until the next day when the battery dies out(then you have to fully recharge it again) 4 days in a row i have been trying to get this to work, itunes doesn't even recognize this, and this is apparently pretty normal stuff you have to deal with because it looks like everyone deals with this crap ,i tried doing some quick fixes for it that are on the internet but it doesnt do anything. Why would they make something so un- user friendly this thing was 500 bucks new, i could have bought 20 mp3 players for that and they would have been working fully loaded in less than an hour. I'm about ready to chuck this thing against a wall......i have no patience for garbage

The simple solution, apparently, is two fold:
Fuck Apple!
Chuck Apple!

Funny you should say this ...as a follow up one of my friends told me to take the ipod to the local Apple store , that they are great at troubleshooting issues . So i brought it down and waited in what i could only call a complete clusterfuck of a system of helping people, 40 minutes later some guy finally comes up to me and says can i help you.

i show him the ipod , tell him the issue he tells me what nice condition its in but unfortunately anything thats 7 yrs or older is considered obsolete and we dont have parts for them , " i can't help you with this" i say your kidding me ,right? he says "no" a lady sits next to me and says is that a 3rd gen ipod , i said yes its brand new out of a box and i cant get it to work and apple wont even look at it. Shes says well the least they could do is upgrade you, i turn to the employee he says the best i could do is knock off 10% off your next purchase(she looks disgusted) i said dont worry about it there will never be another Apple purchase.

I could see them saying its out of warranty, it will cost to fix it, but apple wont even touch their own products after 7 yrs? What could that possibly say about the quality of their merchandise if they don't support it. 7 years? ........pathetic

I turned that blocking thing off, and it doesn't do that to me anymore. My antivirus will alert me if I go to a page that has anything malicious on it. I gave instructions earlier in this thread on how to do it, but don't do it if you don't use a good antivirus to back you up.

Yeah, it's got at least one green bar from Avast's browser widget. Would be better if it had three bars though.

If you're using a browser with phishing or malware detection turned on, you can turn it off...That's if you are running an antivirus/antispyware program that's doing the same thing. I turned that funcionality off in Chrome and don't get the message any longer.

I see what you mean but do not not want to turn that off. Which doing so is just a work around. I was wondering when the problem itself is going to be actually resolved.

I'm not saying it's your fault but what's the hold-up, though? I know other web sites had the same problem and they had it fixed within only hours to a day or so.

I think the biggest problem is logistical. Andrew is half a world away from the server that hosts this site.

It's not a big deal. People just worry when they see that warning. If it was a serious threat, people like me that come in with that warning turned off, would have a malfunctioning computer by now. Not the case at all. Just turn the warning off in the browser settings and use a reputable virus program. And as far as that goes, the virus program that I use has never let me get any kind of infection, and it has never sent up a notification regarding this site.

How was your trip to NAMM, btw?

FYI I have found that the warning stopped showing up in Google Chrome but is still showing up in Firefox.
