Melodic Rock Fest III

Postby Behshad » Thu Feb 14, 2013 12:23 pm

From The 'bat himself :

Folks...I am very excited to confirm that MelodicRockFest 3 has a full GREEN light and will take place in Chicago over a full weekend of serious rock n roll - Friday September 27th, Saturday 29th and Sunday 29th.
Friday – All acoustic night!
Saturday – Midday till midnight!
Sunday – Midday till late!

Hosting the weekend festivities will be the very fabulous and newly opened H.O.M.E. Bar Chicago in Arlington Heights (close to O’Hare Airport) http://www.homebarchicago.com (room pics to be posted soon).

The lineup is just about fully confirmed and locked down, just a few tweaks needed before the full announcement will be made in a week or so. Stay tuned for the exact timing of that.
Also to be announced alongside the lineup will be ticket pricing, weekend VIP packages and some special Meet & Greet options, although for those content to hang in the spacious event room, there will be plenty of roaming around by the artists gathered for the weekend.

The H.O.M.E. Bar is also “home” to a great sports bar, with a full restaurant to keep everyone satisfied during the event.
There will be several vendors on site selling some cool music and merch and I am currently negotiating with a hotel chain for event discount rates for rooms.

ALL these details will be revealed in the next 2 weeks with tickets on sale early in March.

Keep those calendars free for the weekend of September 27-29, 2013. MelodicRockFest is coming back to Chicago!

Any questions - post away.
Please "like" this post and share the details please!

I just saw Infinity at the H.O.M.E. bar a few weeks ago. Great place to have an event.

I can't get over this - we're moving in spring to just one town away from here (literally a 10 minute drive, max).
Mr. BJG and I are pretty excited about this event. :D

Love the lineup, will be great we'll all get to see W.E.T.'s first live U.S. gig too 8)

Loved attending the first 2 fests, looks like this one will be just as awesome!

Oh believe me, I reeeeeeally wish I could. :-( But it's been a shitty year, both health and work wise. Layoffs happening at work, with more rounds to come. So I can't commit to anything right now. Don't know if I'll even still have a job by then. Checked out costs and it would cost me over $2000. As much as I'd sooooooo love to see you all again, and of course see my boys live again........my mortgage has to come first. Jobs are pretty lean right now, so until I make it through these rounds of layoffs I just can't. :-(

One of these days in my lifetime I would like to join a MR-fest. Not in the cards for me this year but if IV or V would be held, I'd try like hell to be there. 8) Have fun guys, pound alcohol like it's 1999.

And Deb, will do! Do you like Harem Scarem too? I LOVE their music and can't wait to hear them live! If they play all my favs I won't have a voice left from singing along!

I'll be there... What are some of the better options for a hotel or motel room near the venue? Trying not to spend more than $65/night but don't wanna sleep with roaches either. :p

When I first looked to make reservations at the HIE about a month ago, it told me that there were no rooms available. I went back today and I got a King Non-Smoking room for $79. I then noticed it was Wheelchair accessible. I took pause at first, and then realized that means it is Crawl Accessible too, for when I drink too much. WIN!

Was talking with another MR'er and realized this is the weekend of the last fest back in '10, I think this date was the last night! Haven't stopped spinning Harem Scarem, WET, Line of Fire, Adriangale and more since this one has been set. So great to have another one to look forward to.

One of my favorite early early tunes, which I have YET to hear live. LOL running joke with CP, seems to always be on the setlist except the shows I happen to make it to. So help me gawd, if this one gets played at MR3..... grrrrr.

I'll carry a chair for you, I'll carry you, just let me know what I can do (all your guys will be there) ...
Wow, wasn't expecting this to come to fruition so quickly, but yayy!!

Things sure look different around here ...nice job, Andrew!!

I think it means it's a busy topic. With that said, you can't just come in here after not posting for eons and just, with a flip of your hair, think you're all that, and like, pick up where you left off. You have to go through a reinitiation process.

Hi, MG. :)
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
