RE-got this boot last night, and I gotta say that I love it. Pre-Perry stuff rocks, Deen's singing on a few tracks is great, and the only downfall is that this is Augeri's downfall. You can REALLY hear it on Escape when Deen has to help him out.
Neal and Jon need to get it through their heads that singing a catalog like this is NOT a good thing to tour behind, virtually every year. Arnel will be the next casualty..
I DO want boots of Arnel lipping to Augeri's vox. LMAO

Is it an audio-only boot or is it a vid? Is it available to d-load anywhere?

Man, every-time I hear a track where Stevie is struggling or just plain fails to hit the note, I just feel so bad for him. :( The thing that's very telling about this particular performance is it was opening night of the Generations/30th Anniv. tour and Steve's voice couldn't get the job done..... OPENING NIGHT! By the time the tour rolled through PHX they were obviously rolling tape because I remember coming away from that show blown away by how good they sounded together and specifically how spot on Steve was. Well, we know now the reasons why he sounded so good. I wonder just how many shows into the tour they were before Neal and Baruck made the decision to roll tape.

Moving on...

I had forgotten that Daydream was included in the set list from that tour. Deen does an awesome job on that one. Love hearing the crowd's roars of approval at the intros of the older stuff - especially Patiently, Something to Hide, Of a Lifetime, etc.

Interesting, this show opened with Kohoutek. The PHX show opened with People and Places followed by Kohoutek and the rest of the set list in the same order.

People And Places (snipette) intro'd Houston too, and this show as well....I'm not complaining that it got a hatchet job, though. lol
