Way too much money for him. Good player, not at that price.

Dannell is a bit of a problem child. Should be interesting to see how he and South Beach mesh.

I'm in shock that the Phins signed this cat to that kind of contract & Wheeler from Oakland? Who the fuck is that? I can understand letting Dansby

go, he's been unproductive. But Kevin Burnett? Motherfucker! This guy led the teams in tackles last year & is a great cover linebacker. Fasano

signed with KC, good riddance. He was a like a traffic cone, you could have slapped a #80 on an offensive lineman & you wouldn't have known

the difference. I hope the Dolphins get one of the two top TE's in the draft or a top flight corner or a top RB, or a top somebody who's actually

worth the change their getting.

And another domino has fallen in Baltimore.

This time, the Ravens apparently have chosen to part ways with safety Bernard Pollard and his $2 million base salary.

Wow they are losing more players than i thought they would.

Only $1 million in cap savings. Thinking is that Pollard is a run player and can't cover very well in a pass happy league.

I personally disagree with this because I love his toughness as a hitter, but there is a reason why the front office was just ranked #1 in the new S.I. article.

Your right Ozzie Newsome is one of the best no doubt.

I think Baltimore is going to try and rebuild some of the roster through the draft

They will be struggling to get under the cap so there won't be much room to bring in free agents especially when they need to re-sign some of their players like Ed Reed.

The team will look much different when they hit the field in 2013.They still have plenty of talent though

So long Wes. I think he made a VERY smart decision going to the Broncos. There are only a couple of teams that he would be that successful on. The Broncos are one of those teams. Patriots fans are furious. I'm really not. I thought the Patriots would bring him back but was on record as not really caring whether they brought him back or not. I heard Brady is beyond furious that the Patriots didn't sign Wes. My thoughts on Wes are this...The Patriots won three Super Bowls without the guy and lost two with him, and more importantly, he was THE REASON they lost one of them! I'll take my chances with him leaving and hope that his salary being gone allows them to pick up a stud receiver.

Agreed. The important thing is Welker wouldn't have just been able to go anywhere especially a run based team or a team with a bad quarterback situation.Welker would've fit in somewhere like New Orleans or Green Bay.I think he will fit in perfectly in Denver and i'm thinking Peyton Manning is a very happy camper right now. They say Welker will replace Stokley and at this point that is a huge upgrade.Denver also has Freeny coming in on defense more than likely so thats good also.

As far as Kansas City goes what do you think their chances are with Alex Smith at QB? They just signed Donnie Avery and they also have Dewayne Bowe so he has some pretty good targets to work with.

What would really be cool is to see Manning,Welker and the Denver Broncos make it to the super bowl. What would be even cooler than that would be seeing Manning constantly throwing the ball to Welker at the super bowl and then not only the Denver Broncos win the super bowl but also Welker ends up being MVP.Now that would be something.

Tom Brady was reportedly very upset at the Patriots for letting Welker go and not getting him signed.

I wouldn't count on it. You have one guy (Manning) who has an almost embarrassing playoff record paired up with another guy who hasn't exactly covered himself in glory during those big games. The Patriots lost their soul when they stopped caring about defense. I truly hope that they go out and sign guys who can make a difference on defense. All of a sudden, James Harrison is claiming publicly that he wants to play for the Patriots (I want zero part of that douche). I just want to see a defense that can make plays and get to the QB. The Patriots offense doesn't need to be ranked number one. I'll take a 10th ranked offense with a defense who can play!

The Eagles announced that they have added cornerback Cary Williams to the group of five players they signed on the first day of free agency. It’s a three-year deal for Williams, who becomes the latest member of the Super Bowl-winning Ravens defense to leave the team since the start of free agency. The Eagles have lost both of their starting corners from last year and Williams seems a strong bet to take one of those jobs next season.

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that Williams’ deal is worth a total of $17 million with $10.5 million in guarantees. Both of those numbers come in slightly below Sean Smith’s deal with the Chiefs, although Williams reportedly has incentives that can kick the total higher.

Thats is the one thing that has surprised me about Bellichick is when he won those three super bowls he had a really good defense along with a pretty good offense then all of the sudden it seems like he started concentrating on having a powerful offense that the defense seemed to get overlooked.I think he might've made a mistake getting rid of Richard Seymour and it seems like when Rodney Harrison retired that when vital pieces of the defense needed to be replaced he hasn't been able to put together really good defenses like he did back during their first run of super bowl titles.

He's a pretty good CB. Played well, but the highly paid Ladarius Webb returns next season and will take his spot.

A day after one of the Ravens’ starting safeties from last season, Ed Reed, signed with the Texans, the Ravens’ other starting safety last season has also signed with a new team: Bernard Pollard is heading to Tennessee.

“I’ve agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Titans,” Pollard told Josina Anderson of ESPN.

The 28-year-old Pollard started every game he played for the Ravens last season (13 in the regular season and four in the postseason)

Nice move by Newsome, but I'm quite glad my team won't be dealing with Anquan Boldin or Ed Reed twice a year anymore.
