Interesting story. I'm sure Kim Jong-un possible resistance within his own ranks and has laid plans to handle it. North Korea has been very successful in keeping it's population in-check.

I am getting the feeling this is going to become much more serious very soon. The question is will B.O. respond correctly or fuck it up like most of what he has done so far.

Lessons learned from the Beghazi fuckup. B.O. and company don't want to get jammed up again like they did over the Benghazi deal. They'll just use the 20/20 hindsight approach, can't be wrong there. So much for the "transparancy" B.O. and company talked about.

I was just watching the news and now the Obama administration, via, a classified document that was not supposed to be read, but was, admits that NK perhaps does possess a small enough nuclear weapon that can be delivered by missile. It appears that Kim Jong Un might not be just talking shit after all.

His missile attempt at any U.S. target would be intercepted over the Pacific, and then.... he will wish he had never pushed that button.

Well, think of it this way. Assume he has a nuke weaponized missile an launches it at S. Korea while F.S. John Kerry is visiting. We just might eliminate one idiot in the B.O. administration. 8)

Honestly, I don't think Un has the balls to test the U.S. militarily. I think his "noise" is just a ploy for money, as was his father's in the past.

I think no more money and further sanctions are in order. This Seal should no longer get a fish everytime he barks. I wan't him to fire those missiles, just so we can shoot them down and remind him that he is a mini-me in a very large world and has no power.

agree about the "no more money"....but only a fool would wish that he fire a missile just for the consequence... the escalation after that would not be controllable...

It sure wouldn't. The biggest worry is how China would react.

He'll fire the missile or two. There will be consequences, but I fail to see the escalation. It will be just Washington thumping the little fucker's butt and letting him know that his tactics are ineffective. China already knows this kid is a fuck up, so if we blow a couple of his missiles out of the sky, they'll just say "told ya so Kim".

Interesting in the news today how B.O. and Company in regards to North Korea's nuclear capabilities. So much for transparancy.

In regards to North Korea, they'd be committing suicide by military action. I still think we would go in and take out North Korea's leadership and military with non-nuclear ordance regardless of what North Korea had fired. North Korea only has one or at most a few nuclear weapons that they would shoot off, but then what? After they shot their load, it would be over for them.

I doubt China would get involved if we simply take out North Korea's missiles in mid-flight. And yes, they would probably laugh and say "told you so Kim" as you mentioned Steveo. Now if we go into North Korea with military activity and/or start bombing it, that could be different.

  1. Kim fires missle(s)
  2. US shoots them down
  3. Kim is now boxed in a corner, he has to react because failure to react makes him look weak to his own generals, which was the whole reason for this in the 1st place.. (securing his leadership)
  4. Kim reacts against the nearest politically advantageous military target... which forces China to side with Kim... likely target? South Korean military base on the DMZ., which the US is treaty bound to protect.

which looks like this...

  1. little country fires missle
  2. big country shoots it down
  3. little country reacts
  4. big country reacts

since yer married to an Asian.. you understand the concept of "saving face".. China would like nothing better than to push the US out of South Korea.. and do so without being the bad guy.. because in that would go miles to securing Asian supremacy for China..

Don't forget the US would love a reason to end the NK regime too..

My bet is Kim does nothing...

Interesting point. For those that believe that Revelations is prophecy form God, I ask then why try to fight and change anything? If it's truly God's prophecy then you can't change it or delay it's outcome.

That would be for people who believe in pre-destination. There is also to be the anti-Christ, whom I believe we have just re-elected. The time is nigh. Am I reading this correctly, that you believe Barack Obama is the anti-Christ? If so, how do you come to this assumption? In the past many people have been cited as the anti-Christ such as Hitler.

Looks like all the attempts to calm tensions with N.K. are having no effect on Kim Jong-un.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/04/12 ... o-destroy/

Also notice how the B.O. administration is trying to down play the leaked intelligence report that it is quite possible N.K. has the ability to attach a nuke warhead to their missiles. I believe John Kerry has stated this information is "inaccurate". Look s like he doesn't have much faith in our intelligence operations.

Nobody should bow to this little shit. No concessions! He get's nothing, in fact, maybe he should get some more sanctions, but this time from China. I'd say he's in a very poor position to be making demands to anyone.
http://www.cnn.com/2013/04/18/world/asi ... ?hpt=hp_t3

The United States and South Korea "should immediately stop all their provocative acts against the DPRK and apologize for all of them," the North's National Defense Commission said in a statement carried by state-run media, using the shortened version of North Korea's official name, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The commission listed a number of "practical measures" it said the United States and South Korea should take if they want to avoid "sledge-hammer retaliatory blows of the army and people" of North Korea and if "they truly stand for dialogue and negotiations."

But the nature of the demands, such as the lifting of the U.N. sanctions imposed after the North's latest nuclear test, appeared to offer almost no chance of negotiations between the two sides amid heightened tensions on the Korean Peninsula.

So now they're trying to bait us into making the first move with this bullshit!

American tourist faces death penalty in North Korea
Kenneth Bae charged with plotting to overthrow government after reportedly taking photographs of homeless children

Staff and agencies
guardian.co.uk, Saturday 27 April 2013 06.38 EDT

North Korea has announced that an American tourist is to be tried on charges of plotting to overthrow the government, a crime that carries a possible death penalty.

The case against Korean-American Kenneth Bae, who has been imprisoned in North Korea since early November, could further stoke tensions between Pyongyang and Washington.

Responding to the development, the US State Department said the welfare of US citizens overseas remained a "critical priority" and that it was working with the Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang - which looks after American interests in North Korea - in regards to the case.

Bae, 44, was arrested in Rason, a special economic zone in North Korea's far north-eastern region bordering China and Russia, according to official state media.

The exact nature of his alleged crimes has not been disclosed, but North Korea accuses Bae, described as a tour operator, of seeking to overthrow North Korea's leadership.

"In the process of investigation he admitted that he committed crimes aimed to topple the DPRK with hostility toward it," the state-run Korean Central News Agency said on Saturday. "His crimes were proved by evidence. He will soon be taken to the supreme court of the DPRK to face judgment."

South Korean rights workers said the authorities may have taken issue with some of Bae's photographs, including those of homeless North Korean children, Reuters reported.

There have been weeks of spiralling tension on the Korean peninsula following the tightening of UN sanctions after the North's third nuclear weapon test in February. The move led to the North threatening nuclear strikes against South Korea and the US and demands by Pyongyang to be recognised as a nuclear state.

The North is thought to have produced enough weapons-grade plutonium for at least six nuclear bombs and has an established uranium-enrichment capability that would give it another route to building weapons of mass destruction. But analysts and intelligence officials say the regime is not yet able to mount a miniaturised nuclear warhead on a missile, despite its recent threats to conduct nuclear strikes.

Noting the latest devlopment in the Bae case, the US State Department said it was "aware of reports that a US citizen will face trial in North Korea".

Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki added: "Welfare of US citizens overseas is a critical priority of the Department of State. The Embassy of Sweden in Pyongyang acts as our protecting power for issues involving US citizens in North Korea. We are working in close coordination with representatives of the Embassy of Sweden."

She added that a Swedish official visited Bae on Friday. "We have no additional information to share at this time," Psaki added.

A lot of Revelation was about the Roman government at the time, that was why it was so cryptic, they would be in jeopardy from the Roman Government if they spoke openly about its demise. Which did come about. Now as far as the end of time it says no man will know, people have been seeing signs of the end of time for a long time. I think if it comes it will come much as a surprise to most. As a thief in the night as it says. I think the more "signs" people see, the less likely it will come about. I never worry about it anyway. I just live my life best as I can doing what I can to be a good person and I leave it up to God for the rest. If you don't believe then none of this means a hill of beans anyway. :)
