Zod Shannon looks badass.

I hope his actual performance holds up against Terence Stamp's, especially where the dialogue is concerned.

From what I heard, Michael Shannon's Zod is nothing but business and is very terrifying, a natural villainous performance. I've watched some of his interviews. He defiantly has a creepy look and speaks eerily through his posture. I don't think there could a better casting for Zod. I'm not even worrying about Terrance Stamp's Zod. I'm not worrying about Christopher Reeve's Superman. I'm DEFIANTLY not worrying about Mark Pillow's Nuclear Man, but that's another discussion for a different day  .

You know what would be terrifying? Your surname being Pillow, that's what. "Hey, Pillowman!" "Yo! Pillowmeister! Get fluffin'!"

"You need to hit harder like a man, not like a softy like Pillow over there..." I'm sure that dude took some major fucking mental hits, lmao.

On the other hand, that sucks you don't dig Amy Adams (though she's not supposed to look sexy as Lois.) She makes my mouth water. She's so sexy and seems like that type that likes her ass slapped, lol. I loved her in "Trouble With The Curve." I love her down to Earth, girl next door look that can play a sassy role. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for red-heads. I initially wanted Anne Hathaway as Lois but she was already announced as Selena Kyle. I'm 110% stoked that Amy Adams got the part. She reminds me of Jenna Fischer (Pam from the Office.)

At very LEAST, Adams will blow that anorexic cardboard cut out, Kate Bosworth out of the water, but so could a corpse.

How can Anne Hathaway not look sexy if Lois isn't supposed to be? Aside from having her wear a fake beard, that is.

This looks like it will be really good.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

That is one effects-intensive trailer.

This movie's going to make a lot of moola.

I hope it also proves that Bryan Singer isn't the amazing director he's made out to be. I thought the first X-Men sucked and Supes Returns' story sucked but the direction wasn't anything particularly special. I like the vibes I'm getting from TMoS. Zack's Dawn Of The Dead remake rocked my balls off, and the original is one of my favorite movies.

I have to admit...I was never a big Superman fan (more of a Batman guy), but these trailers look fantastic!!! I was going to go see it anyway since I'm a geek....but now I'm excited about it.

I keep getting the vibe that they're are going to F this up... I hope not.
For me, ALL the Superman movies have been pretty subpar with the exception of II. I hope they get it right this time. The first preview looked great. I'm kind of annoyed that they've trotted out Zod again, but we'll see how it goes.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

No way, no how. I've followed Man of Steel for years, pretty damn closely. I've lived on Super-fan forums for years and knew about casting calls weeks before anybody else did. That's how bad I LONG for a great Superman franchise.

I'm a diehard Superman fan and I'd be the first to admit that there's a reason why Superman has lost his edge for decades and why he's considered to be one of the lamest and out-dated heros to the casual fan. There have been some comic-arcs over the years and writers that GOT HIM RIGHT (a handful), but most interpretations, especially television and cinema, are stuck in 1978 with the young and unknown Christopher Reeve and have been scared to death to touch Superman and let the character evolve.

Until now.

As for Zod, get Terrance Stamp out of your head. Michael Shannon's Zod could have a place in a horror film. Dude simply came to kill and torture Earthlings until he gets what he wants.

I think the sleeper performance of the movie will be Faora. Cold blooded she will be.
