Shelly Yakus is a renowned music producer, audio engineer/mixer, and recording studio designer and is considered one of the best engineers and mixers in the music industry. He has engineered and mixed recordings for some of the world's best known artists including John Lennon, Stevie Nicks, Alice Cooper, Van Morrison, Tom Petty, Dire Straits, Blue Oyster Cult, Bob Seger, Amy Grant, Don Henley, U2 and Madonna. Known as "Golden Ears," he is also widely respected for his expertise in recording studio design and acoustics. Mr. Yakus co-designed, equipped, and supervised construction of the industry leading A&M Records music recording studios in Los Angeles and served as vice-president of A&M Studios from 1985-1995. He was previously Vice President of the Record Plant recording studios in New York and a partner at Tongue and Groove Studios in Philadelphia. The music that Mr. Yakus has engineered, produced, or mixed has grossed over a billion dollars in sales, and in 1999 he was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Mr. Yakus' career and accomplishments are widely covered in publications such as Rolling Stone, Mix Magazine, Audio Engineer, and Spin.

Joe Chiccarelli, a native of Boston, Massachusetts is a music producer, mixer and engineer who has been active since the 1980s.[1] He has produced albums by Stan Ridgway, Oingo Boingo, Sandra Bernhard, My Morning Jacket, Counting Crows, The Shins, Augie March, Manchester Orchestra, Minus the Bear, Kurt Elling, Big Talk. Other artists include Elton John, Rufus Wainright, U2, Beck, Etta James, Jamie Cullum, Tori Amos, The Strokes, Pink Martini, Christina Perri and Jason Mraz. He also engineered Frank Zappa's albums Sheik Yerbouti, Joe's Garage Acts I, II & III and Tinseltown Rebellion, and engineered the White Stripes 2007 album Icky Thump. He also engineered The Raconteurs "Consolers of The Lonely" for which he received his eighth Grammy award, for Best Engineered Album of 2008.


Niko Bolas Niko Bolas is an American music producer, sound engineer, and consultant and business developer in the fields of virtual reality and Internet radio. In 1989, Bolas founded Fakespace Music with Mark Bolas, Ian McDowall and Christian Greuel, which, in 1995, developed the Soundsculpt Toolkit, a software interface that allows music to communicate with the graphical elements of virtual reality.

Among his most notable production works are Neil Young's This Note's for You, Freedom and Living with War, Warren Zevon's Sentimental Hygiene and Melissa Etheridge debut self-titled album. Bolas' trademark technique is clear and loud recording of vocals. The same can be said of his talent at recording other musical instruments - in the early 80s, Bolas collaborated with legendary American hard rock band KISS, on their album Creatures of the Night, recording Eric Carr's drums.
