I'm confused as shit but don't have time to read all those words, haha. What's going on? Let me know or somebody PM me if we're sending a helpful dollar to a member in need.

Heres a quick rundown...Everett asked Brywool for a couple hundred bucks on his facebook page because he has no job and the unemployment checks ran out. brywool while wanting to help wasn't sure he could do that, he decided to come here and not say names but asked fellow MRers if they could help(I believe Bryan did this with the best intentions).

-From what I can make out there were 4-5 people who sent some money(including of course Brywool...a large amount)
-looks like at least 12 people did not send Everett money and posted their reasons why but also tried to encourage Everett in other ways.
-looks like 1-3 people are giving sermons to FactFinder and indirectly to the people who didn't send Everett money(and i'm not sure if these people even sent Everett money)
- another 2-4 people are not sure if they will send him any money
-Gi jim may have Caught Everett planning to go to a concert despite him telling others he was broke, so there was question as to where the donated money may be going
-Ed came late to the party and wanted a summary because he didn't want to read 5 pages of drama(don't blame him) but he was pretty much told to suck it up.
-A couple of other MR regulars have discussed how they felt they were screwed over in the past here when they sent money to try and help another MR buddy out.
-Somewhere in the middle of all this Everett and his mom have been given the support they needed by friends/family so they are not in trouble anymore.
-you showed up!

Well that about sums it up, including a few things I may have missed along the way. I don't think anyone was pissed at FF for not donating money, but more/less because they took FF's constructive criticism as too harsh of a reply.

My question is where is Everett now and when will he post a reply to any of this?

Thanks for the update, yulog. I know some may not find the entire situation to be funny in any light, but your quick-run down and the way it was written cracked me up lol. I did receive some PM's earlier giving me the down-low on Ev's situation.

Hopefully, he is sincere enough for his story to be takin' into account in terms of credibility is concerned and the concert conversation was takin' out of context for the sake of his morality. Good to hear he was givin' the needs from the kindness of people's hearts here on MR and whoever else was involved when it came to family to sort out his situation in a positive manner.

For now, I'll sit back and respectfully keep an eye on the situation. If Ev's struggles continue to amount and his documented worries and misfortunes continues to pile up, then I have no problem lending a helping hand to those in need of comfort when it comes to cash-flow.

I am by no means financially comfortable in the slightest but I take pride in giving than receiving, as I've gave before and got burned before more than twice. As I said, hopefully the black-spot on this entire situation was blown out of proportion and Ev begged for dough in ultimate need rather than a Stx concert. Hope alls well.

Don't even worry about it, dude. I've been in your spot before. I know it's not fun, but it's also not permanent. Hang in there.

I agree with Rick's approach but also whole heartedly understand the tough love thrown Ev's way. Ev and I are around the same age group and that world out there can be a very cruel and demanding place for a young dude waiting for their breakthrough. If you lack identity in today's economy as a young kid, then a drowning could take place within moments notice.

I had a KILLER year last year. Worked my hands down to the bone, landed a good job with good pay and did everything I was supposed to do to the T and THEN some. Unfortunately, I got laid off out of nowhere and I hit a couple months where nothing seemed to move and it was downright terrifying, especially coming off the breakthrough of being an engaged man to my fiance' and the planning needed to go into that ordeal.

I've got back on my feet since then and have a potential business offering that I can't refuse but I've learned that anything can change on a minute to minute basis in todays day in age. You just got to bring your lunch pail to work every day and go after it as if it were your last day to make any type of impression so I'm rooting for you, Ev and I hope (it WILL) it'll get better. It all works itself out in the end.

I still think if you can not get a job anywhere near you, move.Even where I live in MN there are help wanted signs everywhere.
A couple part time jobs, night school, and in no time flat you will land a job that will keep you afloat.
Best of luck!

Who's to say that many people here haven't been in dire straights? A lot of folk handle their problems discreetly; Just because they don't tin can people on social networks doesn't mean that every thing is always rosy.

Melissa and others here have been burned by "doing the decent thing." Just because there aren't threads out there doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of back door begging and swindling going on through PMs and email.

Forums are a great place to dupe people because there is no accountability. Cons only get caught when they do stupid shit but for the most part, I'm sure quite a few members here have been taken advantage of through the years.

The whole "We're a family here" line doesn't wash. You're dealing with a lot of people who live through the anonymity of their screen name. What kind of family is that? Do we have similar interests? For sure, that's why we are here BUT if you haven't been in the physical presence of some of these people don't just assume that they would really be your friend or even give a shit about you in the REAL world.
And even when you do meet them in the "real world", like everything in life you can still get fucked over by being generous to a fault. We've all probably been down that road too once or twice in our lives.

All great points I meant to say earlier. There are so many friends I've met from here I'd still help in a heartbeat. I just had the unfortunate experience of one turning out to be a sociopath who tells tons of fake life stories for attention. I mean, lying about being homeless and all alone in the world as I was told is pretty damn low. And truthfully, as crappy as it is, I do feel sorry for the person because they made it obvious they burn every bridge around them and for some reason that's an enjoyable thing to them, and that's a horrid way to live. There will always be another victim lined up while they finish off the previous one. I feel the most sorry for the people such as their kids, family, etc, who have no choice but to be permanently attached to someone like this. It's sad.

The one that's been bugging me lately is "I seen". It's either "I've seen" or "I saw". "I seen" sounds so backwoods/hickville to me.

That one is at the top of my annoying list! At least the other ones COULD be an error, if you're typing quickly and have spell check. This one is blatant misuse of the English language. It's not used in spelling error. They talk that way too.
