Seems like he is getting his voice back.

Dude's been through a lot. I thought this was a nice performance.

Dude... I have to say... I've been pretty harsh on him in the past. I know he's been through hell and back with his tumor, but the first performance here is awesome considering! Listen to his high note at 4:21! I can't even hit that note now in falsetto. Lol!!!

Here he is on the same night singing my favorite song of all time. While it is tuned down, he still sounds great and this is the best I've heard him sing this song in MANY years...

Jim I think he still has something left in the tank. Doesn't look the part anymore but inspirational to know that he came back. There were several years where he was on stage and was just not able to deliver through no fault of his own. I think he does a good job now. Very cool to see and hear.

He sounds really good there.

Kelly has sang it before

And Kelly is a huge Lou Gramm fan and I have zero issue with him in the band. Lou beats him on this song though. :)

I agree he sounds great. :D Is there anything he can do to get more of his signature tone back though? Not dissing the man AT ALL. I just think it is very sad is all.

To me it seems Lou is having trouble keeping up with the music , seems he's singing slightly behind the music. Kelly is closer to the original and is easier to accept, and I'm not for or against Kelly. It's just hard to listen to those songs the way Lou is singing them. Still it's good to see he is out there trying.

Yeah the thing with Lou, even back in the day is he never kept up with the songs. Go back and look at some of the Foreigner bootlegs from back in the day. Frustrating when you are at a concert trying to sing along and annoy those around you.

I never knew that , I haven't noticed it so much on old videos, i'll have to go back and take a look , it may just be that its much more evident on his most recent stuff.

I would imagine this is the closest prior to his brain tumor, he sounds fine here, I looked at some other live stuff but i'm not sure if its real live or reworked stuff for a dvd. I saw them only once post brain tumor and Lou sounded bad... he was almost spot on for waiting for a girl like you but the rest of the concert was a struggle.

That was yesterday sounded great. One of my Foreigners tracks... love the last line,Still I hope somewhere deep in your heart
Yesterday will live on. (Happy to Give is Journeys equivalent) I can't wait to hear the magic of Jones/Gramm at the songwriters hall of fame, and hoping they do a farewell tour together (my 2nd most dream next to a Schon/Perry reunion).
