I'll be $1,000 that this "law" they used for acquittal is well over 100 years and has no useful purpose in today's world. Sorry to all the Texas people here but this an one reason why we should let Texas secede like they want too.

Most states have ridiculous rules on the books...actually the way this country is going I might move to Texas...some things they get quite right. Just because of this law does not mean this state is messed up. They are doing well in quite a few areas...better than most states actually. Somebody will go out there and get the law repealed because of this action. Usually that is how stupid laws like this get removed. My guess is most people did not know it existed at all.
