Fantasy Football 2013

Postby Enigma869 » Mon Jul 29, 2013 5:54 am

Guys...I just wanted to let you know that I re-activated our Melodic Rock Fantasy Football League from last season. Those of you who were in the league last year, check your email. You should have an invitation to re-new your team. The League ID is 324772. Not sure what the password is, but if we don't have enough teams (8 is the max), I'll open it up to other interested parties and send an invitation to your email address.

I'm here and foaming at the mouth for some football. I don't have the time to commit to a fantasy league but I'd love to do the ESPN Pickems again.

Come on dude. It's fantasy football. Zero time commitment. Sign in once a week and set your lineup. Takes less than a minute! Fantasy baseball is a whole different level of time commitment!

If its that easy I'll give it a shot. You have to tell me what to do though as I'm popping my fantasy cherry. My fucking neighbor does fantasy baseball and it seems like that's all he ever spends time on, it's crazy. Lead the way somebody, I'm game.

We'll set a live draft-date for all of us to pick. The automated computer will randomly set the rounds for who goes first, second, yadayada. You'll have a select amount of time to make your pick. Repeat until everyones draft is finished. Come game day, you set your roster as to who you think will get you the most fantasty point. Boom done. 8)

Really dude? John sent the link to your yahoo mail account. You really need to lay off the booze & bottle rockets homie, it frying what cells you have left.

Young, you men the forum in general or football talk? I agree up to a point. It seems a lot of people who use to post on a even semi-regular basis, don't post at all. Ahh, life, most people live it!

Just took a lucky shot in the dark with my ID/PW...I'm in. Said I wasn't gonna do 7 leagues this year, and I bet it works out to where I will.

I guess kind of both. When football season rolls around, there's only one thread that exists for me, lol. I hope we can get it rockin' in there once things heat up. I seriously look forward to the NFL THREAD on MR every season. Literally, haha. I don't want to see it beg for posts. Gotta be BANGIN like it usually is.

I'm still kinda pissed about Maclin. I hate the Eagles, but he was one of my solid gold backups for this year in Fantasy.

It's getting close. Still have 4 slots it looks like. "Eye Of" was in it last year, is he back in it. Haven't seen a post from him in a while.

It's only an 8 team league (that's all we had last year), so I believe we only need two more teams. By the way, I setup the draft for August 31st, which is a Saturday night. I believe I set it for 8pm (check the page...it's on there).

Honestly Liam, I think live drafts are pointless. Most guys don't end up with 3 guys that the actually drafted. I always do an auto draft in my other leagues, and then build my roster, after the draft is over. That said, most guys here seemed to want the live draft, so I went with the majority.

Hey all, sorry I didn't sign up. To be honest I really didn't follow my team last year and that doesn't make for a good league member. I pretty much can only handle one team a season and being in a 2nd league never works for me. Enjoy the draft! Mine is tomorrow.

Nice. Thanks for the reminder. I'm all for live drafts as well only because it's something to look forward to when it comes to an activity. It was fun in the chat the other year we did it, haha.

Probably the worst possible day for my family to show up unexpectedly. I'll still be in the draft room, 'cause I like being rude.

Which one of your fuckers drafted Cam Newton before Tom Brady? Really? Come on! Fuck, I know Brady is old, but Cam Newton? Even in Brady's old age, he's a lock to throw 30+ TD's and Newton won't ever accomplish that!

One BIG mistake by me....I forgot about Tynes' staph infection until a couple of picks after I drafted him. Oh well...kicker is easily solved.

That's quite the motley crew, Ed. It reminds me why I've always steered clear of leagues with more than 8 teams. Once you get over 8 teams, you're forced to draft a whole bunch of irrelevant guys. Luckily for you, Petersen and Rodgers may be good enough to carry you most weeks.
