49ers game was rough. Not looking like a playoff team by any stretch. Had my hopes up after week 1, but all have since been crushed. They need to get some receivers in there while they wait for their injured players to return. Seattle and Denver look like the teams to beat this year.

That escalated quickly. 0-5 in turnovers and good luck beating air. Improvements to build on over the prior 2 weeks, but not enough to feel comfortable in getting our first W anytime soon. The monkey is now on our back in the win column.

And now the desperation sets in for Harbaugh... the league has figured out how to defense the 9ers offense (TY Seattle), namely the receiving core.. and in doing so essentially make the 9ers a running team. That makes Kaep a largely ineffective passer, at a time when Harbaugh was trying to make him pocket passer, which is stupid.. especially with a receiving core that gets pretty much ZERO separation. By the time Manningham and Crabtree are back, and able to contribute.. the 9ers season will be over.

I'd expect we see the return of the read/option.. and the QB option pretty quick.. and I'd expect Kaep gets "crushed & concussed" on a scramble within the next 3 games..

Kaepernick is also proving himself to be a less effective "game manager"... than his predecessor.

Add the loss of their defensive QB.. Willis.. and this thing is unwinding fast..

Man, I believe teams have figured out the 49ers and Kapernick, they looked liked deer in headlights. But hey, on the brighter side of things, How about them DOLPHINS! Tannehill has finally come into his own, not trying to do to much, taken what is given. Dalton played an above average game for him and the Bengals surprised me with beating GB and their puke uni's. How about Brian Hoyer? Man, this guy played cool, calm and collected for a 1st time starter. And Jordan Cameron is becoming a beast at the TE position. On a side note, I think Leslie Fraziers days as a coach are numbered. Like 1,2,& 3 numbered.

Wow...what a fucking AWFUL week for picks. Crazy week in the NFL. One note to the NFL...STOP, STOP. STOP putting the Pittsburgh Fucking Steelers (who incidentally, I picked to beat the Bears this week) in Prime Time! They're not a Prime Time team. They sucked last season, and they're AWFUL this season! Please make it end. I can't watch Ben be so fucking clueless as to what to do with a football!

Hey, atleast you weren't dead last! The NFL is going to represent themselves well when the 0-3 Steelers and the 0-3 Vikings meet together in London next week for a huge winless showdown! Lawls. Whatta joke.

I realize the NFL can't always predict what a team will be season to season. That said, Pittsburgh didn't even make the playoffs last season, so I'm not sure why they feel the need to highlight a bad team. I would have ZERO interest in watching the Patriots play in Prime Time if they were awful (and in spite of their 3-0 record, they are a VERY flawed team). Prime Time games should be used to showcase two really good teams that everyone wants to watch.

I can't remember which team it was last season or the season before, but they had about, 3 or 4 Prime-Time games and they were just as bad...or even worse. Atleast the game got interesting last night and the Steelers brought it within 4 points and that sense of drama unfolded until the 4th QRT. When it comes down to it, it's all about ratings and the Steelers always bring in ratings gold for the NFL (and you got to figure; Steelers/Bears, two old-school, historic teams) but right now, the Steelers don't deserve to be a focus under a street-light.

They have a few more Prime-Time games, one featuring going to Baltimore Thanksgiving night.

Contracts signed a few years ago, I believe, guarantees at least one night game per team. Read that somewhere - no idea where.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Ravens over the Texans yesterday. Expected a big fat "L".

Defense hasn't given up a touchdown in 2 games since the Denver opening night debacle.

Right, but this is Pittsburg's second week in a row playing in Prime Time, and they have several more, including Thanksgiving! Sorry, but I have no interest in watching shit teams play. Let their fans watch that garbage. When Brady retires in another couple of years, I'll feel the same way about the Patriots. Prime Time games should be reserved for Prime Time Teams.

It's still only 3 weeks into the season. There's no telling which team is going to be "shit" or what teams are going to be legit when figuring out the prime-time scheduling. If that is the case, then I guess the NFL should scrap everything and let Denver and Seattle be the only teams allowed to play in prime-time because they're the only 2 teams that are basically fun to watch right now.

Look at San Francisco, the NFC representative in the Super Bowl. Right now, they look just as bad as anyone. Miami is 3-0 and taking it to teams. I bet nobody would of wanted to see the Dolphins in any Prime-Timers this season.

The Cowboys and Giants, two playoff-less teams from a season ago, AGAIN opened the NFL season in prime-time,which they always do. I don't think the Steelers being featured in prime-time has anything to do with just the Steelers. Week 2 was considered an AFC North matchup and a lot of people wanted to see those two teams head to head in a rivalry game in the spotlight. The flex is one thing later on in the season, but the NFL simply can't just change it. It's been that way ever since football went on the air with MNF and SNF. Sometimes we get shit games and shit teams; sometime we get SLOBERKNOCKERS! 8)

Anyone see the Jags RB "SHHHHHHHHH" the Seattle crowd with his finger when he scored a rushing touchdown? The Seahawks were leading 38-10 at that point, lmao.

Very tough year to year to know who the "Prime Time Teams" will be though.

They do have the flex scheduling toward the end of the year that allows them to change up the Sunday night game to a more marquee matchup.

Traffic is horrendous when they got a game going on at the Stick. When they're blown downwind to Santa Clara, that will be good!

While I don't disagree with some of your points, I can tell you that Pittsburgh has ZERO chance of making the playoffs this season. It may be only three weeks in, but teams who start 0-3 almost never make the playoffs. I'm still not sold on Miami (although, I think their defense is very good). As for San Francisco, I like seeing Harbaugh get knocked down a peg or two. The guy seems a bit too full of himself for a guy who hasn't ever really accomplished anything in the NFL. I also love the fact that Alex Smith is flourishing with the Chiefs...poetic justice! I realize that they can't change the schedule now. That said, no team who didn't make the playoffs the year before deserves to be showcased in a prime time matchup 4 or 5 times! Not to mention, anyone who watches football knew that the Steelers weren't going to be terribly relevant this season. It's absurd.

Yes, because one of the best fan-supported teams in NFL history don't deserve a new stadium after 50+ years. I assume they never bring revenue to the area. What a burden this team has been.

Sometimes the dislike of something makes us say really silly things. It's why I stayed out of the Tears for Fears thread after my first comment. I realize, some people may actually like them.

I hated him for what he put Tennessee through when he first got in trouble with the Vegas shooting. After drafting him in the first round in 2005 the man was very talented and fun to watch. He was a threat to score every time he ran a punt return and was always good for a few interceptions on defense. In the two years he played in Tennessee he scored 4 or 5 punt returns for TD's and could've been as good as Devin Hester had he kept his nose clean.Pacman was clutch as well and won a few games with either a return or interception at just the right time.In 2006 Tennessee was losing 21-0 with nine minutes left in the 4th quarter to the N.Y. Giants and Pacman intercepted two passes and returned a punt for a TD within the final minutes to help Tennessee beat N.Y. 24-21.Tennessee was putting together a really good team around this time.Chris Johnson arrived right when Pacman left and i often wondered how good we would've been with both of those guys on the team and Pacman would've stayed out of trouble. We went 13-3 in Chris Johnson rookie year 2008 and we also had one of the best defenses with Kyle VandenBosch,Albert Haynesworth,Jevon Kearse,Cortland Finnegan,Randy Starks, etc. With the way he was returning kicks and playing defense he could've really helped the 2008 team.Pacman Jones was extremely talented when he first joined the NFL.

These are three games i think are really good ones this weekend....

Seattle 3-0 at Houston 2-1---This game features one of the best teams in the NFC against one of the best teams in the AFC.Easily one of the best games on the slate this week and the hardest to figure out because this one could go either way.Seattle is first and Houston is second in total defense so this one will be a matchup of great defenses.Houston is a bit banged up after back to back games against two of the most physical teams in the league Tennessee and Baltimore. The Titans knocked Andre Johnson out of that game and then Johnson left the Baltimore game with a bruised Shin.Seattle blew out Jacksonville 45-17 while Houston lost to Baltimore 30-9 this past week.If Houston thought the Baltimore game was rough now they'll face Seattle who lead the league in total defense. This one could go either way.

New England 3-0 at Atlanta 1-2---This one features Tom Brady vs. Matt Ryan and both QB's should put up some pretty big numbers.Atlanta is ranked eighth in total offense while New England is ranked eighth in total defense. The Patriots have been pretty banged up this year at TE and WR which is really hurting Brady and the offense. The Patriots defense has actually won games for the team this year including in week two intercepting a N.Y. Jets pass with 38 seconds left to seal a 13-10 victory. This past week the Atlanta Falcons lost at Miami in a close one 27-23 while the Patriots beat the lifeless Bucaneers 23-3.This is another one that could go either way but the Falcons are a bit more desperate after starting slow this season.

Miami 3-0 at New Orleans 3-0---We could say this Monday nighter is the game of the week pitting two undefeated teams against each other.New Orleans has just come off a 31-7 victory over Arizona while Miami beat Atlanta 27-23 in a close one.The Saints are sixth in total offense and fourth in total defense so far this year so they are doing great on both sides of the ball.Miami is going to have their hands full especially concerning Drew Brees who has already thrown over 1,000 yards three games into the season.Miami has a pretty good defense and they'll need it in this one.

I honestly don't see Houston as one of the best in the AFC this year. I think they'll go downhill this year.

What a waste of a career that guy was. He had the ability to be one of the most dominant defensive players in the game and just freaking puked it away.

The Matt Shaub science project is failing miserably in Houston. The dude is abysmal and is the key piece of holding the Texans back from advancing far in January. Dude offers no hope within' his team. Hell, as disgusting of a performance Roethlisberger has put out most recently, he still threw for over 400+ yards on the Bears defense and brought the team within a 1 score game. Shaub doesn't even give Houston a nibble when that offense needs it, let alone a bite.
