MRF3 - Photos

Here are my pics from the (mostly acoustic) sets on Friday.

I was there, at Andrew's invitation, as an event photographer for the weekend. Therefore I tried to capture at least something of each band. Of the 31 artists/bands who played full sets, I managed to shoot 29 of them. Those that I missed were Bonrud, who were the last band on Friday (because I'd flown in that day from the UK and had been awake for 28 hours by that time and just couldn't stay awake any longer), and Maxx Explosion, who were the late addition at the end of the Sunday night (because I had to get back to the hotel to pack, ready for a very early flight home Monday morning). Apologies to those I missed.

There were a lot of people throughout all three days with camera phones, compact cameras and even quite a few DSLRs, but I'm sure they will all agree with me that the lighting was patchy. It was great at some times, and almost non existent at others, making photography a little hit and miss. It certainly got better during the weekend, and I think you'll see that in some of the later galleries for Saturday and Sunday.

Anyway, I hope these pics convey some of the atmosphere of this great festival. I really enjoyed the whole weekend and would do it again tomorrow.
