With that said, it's quite perplexing to me that (if true), Peterson never even met the kid before he was on life support. If that really is true, not exactly a candidate for father of the year. Unlimited resources, a lot of free time in a sport with a long offseason, and he didn't manage to buy one plane ticket to SD to go see the kid once in two years? Also explains why the decision to play seemed pretty easy for him.

He only found out about this kid a month or two ago. The mother had previously gotten a paternity test from another guy, which turned out negative. Then she told Peterson about him. Peterson didn't question it and had already made plans to visit. Before he got there, this happened. Can't fault him for not knowing. Can fault him for not using protection and maybe saving a kid from this tragedy.

From all accounts he was planning on doing the right thing when he found out like you said just recently.
It makes more sense why he is playing as well, If this happened to A.P. Junior no way hes playing.
I dont blame him at all.

Since it's the Packers, I might get the game. Don't know why, but the networks down here have a boner for them. GO RAVENS.

That game should have been over 10 times at the end there and I still had the feeling Brady was going to pull it out, haha. All those drops by his wideouts and they still find a way. Unreal.

Niners still look shaky, even with Gore surpassing 100 yards and Davis catching for almost 200. Good divisional win, but our receivers cannot get there fast enough.

An interesting take from a NY sports writer on the Patriots, Steelers, and Giants.

They didn't kick MY ass. Just the team I root for.

What an ugly display on both sides. I still had fun though. :D

Packers fans that showed up were very cool. Good fanbase.

I've heard so many good stories about Packers fans. I live in MN so I hear stories about MN, GB, CHI, and DET a lot. They say CHI fans are the worst to opposing fans. Rude, nasty, etc. They say GB fans are as good as it gets.

Not really that surprising when you consider what exactly Green Bay is. Most professional teams are in major American cities, and huge population centers. Green Bay has 85K people. Just for perspective, I grew up about 8 miles north of Boston in the city of Lynn, MA. The population in Lynn is about 100K people. Definitely not a small town. In fact, it was VERY urban. That said, it's unthinkable to me that any city that size would have its own sports team, given that I grew up in a place larger than Green Bay.

Okay...so it grew a bit. It doesn't change the fact that it's the same size city as the one I grew up in. It also doesn't change the fact that cities with 100K people simply don't have sports teams, with the exception of Green Bay.

Worst fans, no matter WHO you're a fan of...Philly, hands down. I almost got in a fight in the lobby of a hotel for wearing an Emmitt jersey. We were in the middle of an after reception reception for my sister's wedding. I was ready to beat the fuck out of this dude. :lol:

Infact...I might've mentioned all this in the booze thread. lol

Phillip Rivers and the Chargers finally come through for me. Had a feeling with that upset and SD is a team that can bite you. Only 2 losses in my work poll, hopefully that is enough to win me a big pot. 2 losses won it last week with a pot at $186. I have a chance.

Damn. Me and another dude both had 2 losses. Came down to the tiebreaker, which is total points scored on Monday Night between the two teams. I thought with 2 high powered offense's on display, the combined score would go into the 50's so I have a combined total of 51. Score was 19-9, lower than I expected so that's that. 2 loss weeks don't come by often. Maybe another time.

I knew everybody would be on the Seahawks and since I had a big week last week, I figured I'd take a chance since Thursday Night games always could play out weird. I liked the Cards at home for some reason on TNF. You're welcome :lol:

So wow, Niner's really have had a tougher schedule. Of teams 4-2 or better, the niners opponents have more wins. Also, the NFC West is the winningest division so far (17-7). The Broncos and Chiefs have had the easiest so far. I didn't look to see if maybe the bad opponents records were due to both teams beating the same teams.

Team & Opponents Combined Record

6-0 teams
Broncos = 11-25
Chiefs = 11-25

5-1 teams
Seahawks = 15-18
Saints = 16-17
Patriots = 15-19

4-2 teams
Bengals = 18-16
Bears = 15-19
Lions = 15-18
Colts = 17-18
49ers = 20-15

Second week in a row I took the Steelers. I have to say that after watching them, I'm not surprised they suck so much. They're a really fucking stupid football team. They had a minute left, were NOWHERE near FG range, and that big, dumb fuck The Rapist is just walking around, huddling his team up and running the play clock down to 4 seconds with zero sense of urgency. I was stunned watching it. So much so that my seven year old son (who was cuddling with his Daddy watching football) said "Daddy, why did you say wow". I had to explain to his 7 year old brain that it wasn't normal for a team to run that much time off the clock when they should have been trying to conserve every second!

Doesn't matter in the slightest. We had the Ravens number. They couldn't stop us regardless. Steelers chewed up the necc. time to take care of business, get in FG and get our first back to back wins of the season. Vintage Steelers/Ravens. Good game, AR. Best rivalry in football hands down.
