Journey fans'll remember these guys but this was pretty much their only hit. Got quite a bit of radio play a few months before grunge started taking over.

The Storm - I've Got A Lot To Learn ...

Chalfant/Rolie on vox
Show Me The Way (from the same album) got just as much airplay, if not more. And, IMHO a better song. Chalfant really shines on this one!! Perhaps his finest hour...?

Love that album. Good shit.

"Wind Him Up" (from the same album) was kind of a hit, IIRC. Saga has a lot of f'in albums, too. I haven't heard the latest one, but 10,000 Days (the last one before Michael Sadler left the band for a spell) was their best in a long time.

Thanks!   It seems like the ones that get stuck in your head are the most obscure -OR- it's a song that you just hear the beginning of as you pull into a parking spot or your driveway and turn off the car. For instance, a couple of days ago, this commercial comes on the radio whilst driving and they use part of "Time to Change" by The Brady Bunch kids as their jingle..... I had that fucking song stuck in my cranium the entire day!
Just in case you're dying to hear it... :P  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKEQm10-n84

Forgot about Wind Him Up. I wasn't even aware they ever made another album. Got that one in a Columbia House deal way back when.

A couple more...

The next album they made was Heads Or Tales, with the singles "The Flyer" and "Cat Walk." Then there are another fifteen or so albums. :)

ahh, yes... another senior moment!
This is kinda off topic but a senior moment nonetheless. There have been a couple of times when someone has abbreviated a Journey song and I can not remember/figure out what song it is.   The first time I PM'd Rick (I think or maybe it was ST. John...) and asked him what the song was . Whomever it was reassured me we've all had one of those moments where we just can't figure out what song it is. The next time, I simply put my pride aside and asked in the thread.

Great tune! A song of his came up on my ipod the other day and I actually switched it over to artist instead of shuffle and listened to a bunch of his I have on there. Man he had some great songs, he had 2 or 3 hits though back in the day.

It's too bad he got mixed up in drugs I think, lol goofy but such a talented dude, absolutely love the gravelly soul r&b vocal tone he had. A couple other favourites..........

I loved "Foolin' Yourself" the first time I heard it - far more than Fantasy.
Thanks for the Henry Lee Summer mention and links. Man, I had forgotten all about him. He really had a lot of potential and like you said, it's too bad the road he went down.

Last weekend the wife and I were at the mall shopping and a song was being played over the p/a system of the store we were in. Another chick who was standing in line with us and who was older than we are was asking us if we knew who it was singing the song. I thought it was a young Stevie Wonder. The woman was saying she thought it was like a band similar to Chicago.

Out of curiosity I got on the internet to check it out. Turns out the band is Spiral Starecase and the song we heard was "More Today Than Yesterday". It also turns out that Spiral Starecase is considered a one-hit-wonder and this is the song that was the hit. I'm sure though that I've heard Stevie Wonder singing this song back in the day though. Anyone mention this one-hit-wonder yet?
