A whole lot better than my pathetic 7-7 mark. The only game I had a great deal of confidence in this week was the Patriots game. EVERYONE (and I'm talking about those actually in Boston) were predicting the Ravens to roll over the Patriots. I mean, I get the Ravens have been playing better lately and won 4 in a row (prior to today), but to listen to the fuckers around here, Baltimore was invincible. Last I checked, they've won all of 8 games and have a pathetic offense! This Patriots team isn't close to great and is going to struggle to beat anyone. That said, this Patriots team has ALWAYS done better when everyone tells them that they simply cannot win.

Really? The Boston media were punk'd out by Baltimore? That was the easiest pick on the entire slate for me to make haha. It's amazing Balty won 8 games this year. They deserve to be 6-10; 7-9 judging by their product they put on the field.

The wins I would have had today were the Bengals, Jets, Cowboys, Broncos, Titans, Rams, Patriots, Chargers and Steelers. I'm peeved that didn't save. Dammit.

Really. It was actually pathetic to listen to the Boston media and sports fans this week. I'm not beating anyone up for thinking the Patriots would lose. Honestly, I thought they might lose this game a few weeks back, but that was before losing to Miami. This team has guys out on the field who I've never heard of (Saw a dude wearing number 71 playing a whole lot for the Patriots today with he last name Siliga...no fucking clue who the dude is), but they always seem to find a way to win games after losing one.

I think Baltimore's defense is certainly better than they showed today. That said, their offense is beyond pathetic and has been all season. I realize this Patriots team isn't an offensive juggernaut, but I knew going in that they weren't going to have to score a lot of points to win today. Flacco throws the ball down the field, and usually not very accurately. He gets a lot of PI calls (Baltimore is ranked number one in the entire league for most yards received on Pass Interference calls), and Ray Rice looks like he's 100 years old. I think Boston fans and media just get scared off by Terrell Suggs (who I probably hate more than anyone in sports) running his big fat pie hole and talking about how much he hates the Patriots. Fuck him. Here is hoping that big mouthed fuck is home watching the playoffs. Dude was irrelevant today and spent most of the game taking a knee on the sidelines like the pussy that he is! I still have to give Denver the edge to come out of a VERY flawed AFC.

Preach it. Couldn't agree more. In fact, it's not only this season. The Ravens ranking in last 5 seasons in terms of beneficiary yards from DPIs:

2013: 1st
2012: 2nd
2011: 1st
2010: 1st
2009: 5th

SMH. Only a QB like Flacco can play like a total gash and get bailed out by the long ball time and time again. He's been doing it for years that it gets sickening to see Baltimore use it as apart of their gameplan for that reason alone.

I don't know why they even bothered squeezing the Bears/Eagles game in on NBC tonight, when the Bears didn't even show up! Unless there's a miracle against The Packers next week, I am officially done with Football and will keep on watching the Blackhawks and Hockey.....At least there's one Chicago team worth rooting for  :?

Come on Liam. Romo can win the games he's won. It's next weeks situation where I'd take 1 million other QB'S than Romo. Keep a QB like Romo the fuck away from me when it's a lose or go home situation.

I guess the only way to solve the Romo problem is 1.) Take him out of the game in the 4th Quarter, or 2.) Direct-snap to the RB 100% of the time in the 4th Quarter, regardless of the score. He can't screw up if the ball isn't in his hands. And likewise, against the Eagles, it would only be beneficial to run the ball more to slow the pace of the Eagle's O and keep their D on the field longer. The game is winnable, but not if Romo flings the ball around in the 4th Qtr. inexcusably as he did against Green Bay.

Dallas fans won't have to worry about Romo giving this game away. He has just been ruled out for the entire season...even if they make the playoffs. It looks like it's Kyle Orton time for the Cowgirls! This news just broke, so it's not even up on ESPN yet.

I'm hoping for a 9er win tonight, a 9er loss against AZ next week (or a tie would be fine) and a CAR loss next week. Then SEA, SF, and AZ are all in!

If Rams beat SEA, then fuck AZ, I want the win, the division, and the number 1 or 2 seed.

How do the Steelers get in?

If they beat the Browns at home, the Bengals beat the Ravens, the Jets beat the Dolphins and the Chiefs beat the Chargers.

Edit..found the scenario

Steelers at Bengals: Steelers get No. 6 seed if:
1) PIT win + MIA loss + BAL loss + SD loss

Let's do this Travis!

Yep. The Steelers get in with a WIN vs Cleveland with Cincy beating Balty, N.Y Jets beating Miami and K.C beating San Diego. I don't see all 4 happening, but it's possible. As for going to Cincy, I'd welcomed kicking the living shit out of you kittens again. If it would be anyone else, the Steelers would probably be bait. Cincy? I'd be ecstatic to watch you go 1 and done for 3 straight years in a row

Our D is awesome. We've had ups and downs, but look at my posts all last year - same issue. ups and downs. It's a weird team. The D has kept us around for sure.

There were definitely better aspects last year - but I don't think this year is anything to sneeze at.

The 9ers (12th rank O, 3rd rank D) just beat the Falcons (7th rank O, 12th rank D)

It was the 9er D that had to win the game. It's obvious the return of Crabtree and Manningham STILL hasn't amounted to the "miracle" everyone was saying it would be...

They're getting lucky...and while that's great.. and I'm still not seeing this monstrous improvement that was supposed to make them unstoppable.. they look like an average team.. beating average teams.. Atlanta is no AZ... and AZ is way better defensively (5th ranked) than Atlanta .. And AZ (5th rank D, 10th rank O) just beat Seattle (1st rank D, 9th rank O). Clearly AZ is peaking...

Next week its the 9ers (12th rank O, 3rd rank D) vs. Arizona (10th rank O, 5th rank D).

I expect to see more of this next week...I'm sure this had Harbaugh sharting a bit..

There is a chance the Arizona Cardinals could go 11-5 and miss the playoffs.

It happened to New England in 2008 and i think Denver in 1985 both went 11-5 also and missed postseason.

You are correct. Denver and New England are the only two teams to ever miss the playoffs with an 11-5 record. Just another reason the NFL seriously needs to re-vamp playoff positioning. It's absurd that a team like Arizona is on the verge of missing the playoffs while teams like Dallas, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Chicago, et al still have a chance. Again...allows the top 6 teams to get in, based on record. Argument over!

Detroit was eliminated, weren't they? I agree a team like Arizona is getting jipped, but that just goes to show how hard it is to qualify for the playoffs. It's either win your division or try to get lucky with Wild Card elimination. Nature of the beast.

Clearly you are not a Niner fan and have some wish for them to suck. That's cool. That's sports. I think it's neither sunshine or as bad as you say. Crabtree had some great plays - long yardage - in the second half. Over 100 yards after a slow start. All while Niners were having success in the running game. I personally have not read (or said) any statements about some miracle that was supposed to happen. Only that we are 11-4 after not having our 2 top receivers for most of the year. We are on a 5 game win streak (best in the league at the moment) and Crabtree looks much better week after week. We were without Mannigham last night as well.

Gore was 3 yards shy of 100. And Matt Ryan is a great QB and Atlanta is a far better team than their record suggests.

As far as the play where Kap ran into the defender - um, no QB in the league would have gotten rid of it as he had no idea the guy was there. I don't have the energy to find what I'm sure are a large number of plays that look exactly the same for every QB going back to game one of football. Silly to pick plays out like that. Why not show the successful scrambles, the long run, the TD he scored?

As far as AZ, hell yea they are good. And so is SEA and the Rams are going to be a powerhouse. I love this division. We are 40-20. The only division where every team can finish at or above 500! Still a chance to see 3 playoff teams from that division. In a conference that has not one single division winner yet. That's a prideful thing, not a bad thing. I love AZ. I root for them anytime they are not affecting the Niners' chances. Same with Rams and SEA.

It's too bad the SEA-STL game is on at the same time as AZ-SF Sunday. The outcome I want in my game depends on the outcome of the other. And we risk nothing by losing next week, unless SEA loses. I want AZ in, so.....

And you SF's D had to win the game last night. But it was ATL's D that played really well. Nothing wrong with a good defense! Another prideful thing.

That said - this team is not firing on all cylinders. Not at all. We would be lucky to win a couple playoff games. Just glad we have the chance.

Precisely why I've NEVER been a fan of "win your division and you're in", and I felt this way LONG before he Patriots missed the playoffs at 11-5. Teams shouldn't get rewarded by winning a division that absolutely SUCKS! Again, there isn't a good argument (at least for me) why the NFL simply doesn't allow the top six teams (based on record) into the playoffs. I've always felt that it should be this way. NOBODY (aside from those hometown fans) wants to watch a shit 7 or 8 win team in the playoffs!

Agree. I'd personally like to see the playoffs extended one more week as well.

If I had it my way, they'd create 2 more conferences and have football year round. This season - and all seasons really - just fly by. Too short. Maybe introduce another bye week.
