Sounds like Dave doing his inimitable Dave thing. The guy was always crap live. What else is new?

Yikes...That was bad even for DLR. Like TNC says, he's never been good live.

This has to be the best comment ' If Van Gogh was in the crowd listening to Dave "sing" here he would've cut off his other ear...'
Perry's good natured bonhomie & the world’s most charmin smile, knocked fans off their feet. Sportin a black tux, gigs came alive as he swished around the stage thrillin audiences w/ charisma that instantly burnt the oxygen right out of the venue.TR.com

Just kidding about that last bit.

Hey - talk to your Dr. and see if he is willing to give me a prescription of whatever you are on. That would be awesome.

Don't need a script for Nati-Light.

I just know what to expect with DLR so never get my hopes up. That was a fun little bit with the Beach Boys there and I knew going in DLR wasn't going to shine. I thought it sounded alright and face it, no one is going to sound good when they have Jeff Foskett standing behind them singing as well. That dude has the pipes.

Foskett is definitely damn good-seen him live twice.

Have to disagree with you that this is anywhere in the universe of good or even listenable though. That was putrid. Plus, Mike Love is an asshole and far and away the least talented of the main Beach Boys.

Fact Finder wrote:Matt, I just thought is was a fun clip. I wouldn't call it great or even good, just fun and probably hardly rehearsed at that. It is what it is. Any band that let's DLR on stage with them knows what they are getting into, so it was neat that Love even let Roth near the stage. Agree with you about Mike Love but every band seemingly has an asshole or 3 on board, still, I love me some Beach Boys and Foskett is the voice that allows them to continue to sound so good live.

Any idea if Foskett is playing with the Wilson-less and Jardine-less fake Beach Boys that Love is trotting out once again? I saw Foskett with the Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Tour in 2012, and then again late last year with Brian Wilson and Al Jardine on the Jeff Beck/Brian Wilson tour. I'd imagine Foskett isn't playing with Love when Wilson/Jardine aren't around.
