Don't forget the other hits on Steve Perry's 'Street Talk' solo album

As great of a story and song that Oh Sherrie is, you might get the impression that it was the only song Steve Perry scored as a solo hit. Even though we know better, let's try not to get Strung Out on those misconceptions.

Steve Perry ended up releasing four singles from his Street Talk album and all hit the Top 40, although the tune, the third release, barely scraped into the countdown peaking at No. 40. The video is a prequel to Oh Sherrie as Perry's management visits a sweaty band rehearsal of Strung Out to make plans for the dramatic shooting of Oh Sherrie.

For someone who hasn't released any records or performed recently, Perry is always in the news whether it's in conquering interviews with Steve Spears, Journey reunion rumors or his cancer scare from last year.
Perry's good natured bonhomie & the world’s most charmin smile, knocked fans off their feet. Sportin a black tux, gigs came alive as he swished around the stage thrillin audiences w/ charisma that instantly burnt the oxygen right out of the venue.TR.com

Strung Out is a great tune, and Street Talk needed a rocker.
Never heard Shes mine on the radio, good tune though. Captured by the moment and Running alone are my missed hits on this album. (Anyway being the one on FTLOSM)

This is one of those albums that is great from front to back. I never tire of it. Great sound.

"Foolish Heart" is one of my favorites off Street Talk.

It's strange that this album isn't available as a digital on Amazon. Would like to have that since the cassette and CD are lost and gone and I only buy digital music anymore. Really great music though, and I think it was a good style for Steve that was closer to his heart and his musical influences than Journey music.

When we ordered the ST album on vinyl..part of the deal was an access code to a ST digital d/l...
The access code didn't work at first and Lora stepped in and rattled some chains for us.
It did work shortly thereafter...
So it's been available before...have no idea about now tho...
