Awkward, definitely! That's what I'm afraid of. That his awkwardness will eclipse everything else. And that if he acts "menacing," that it may seem contrived.

I hope the first trailer proves me wrong. All we can do is wait.

When I say awkward, I mean the ability to make you feel so damn uncomfortable. Jesse has that natural ability to make you feel out of place. It's a nice touch for Lex. I can totally picture Eisenberg's Lex in an interview with Adam's Lois Lane and making her feel uneasy. BOOM!

Come on dude, I need you. Don't be like them. DON'T DO IT. I know the internet's first reaction is to splurge the hate-train, but he was picked for a reason. If Snyder is a master of ANYTHING, it's picking the right people. Trust in it. I do. If he sucks, he sucks, but I don't play that until 2016. He could surprise the fuck out of everyone, just as Mr.Ledger did.

 "I'm just bein' me!" I was rooting for JP. He'd make a wicked Lex. "They" don't like Gal as Diana, either. I just can't get behind this really weird casting choice. I don't think this compares to the Ledger casting. Eisenberg still has a chance to prove me wrong, of course. As of this moment, I don't think he has the gravitas for this role.

Fair enough (Pheonix turned the role down, he just doesn't associate himself with these blockbuster movies).

Eisenberg would have been, literally, the LAST choice I'd pick for Lex and then double check to see if there was anyone I could have missed. That's not the point.

When it's a done deal, I tend to look for the reasoning behind it rather than looking for the obvious. I hope WB/DC have something up their sleeve. I hope he gets some INSANE material to work with and give us such a different Lex Luthor that the internet will look to delete their old posts, just as Mr.Ledger made them do (of course, it's different than the Joker and that casting, but the point is, he may just fit into how they see their Lex operating).

In the TV/film forums. There was a lot of good shit happening in there, and then they go and yank everything because of comments posted to some article not connected (?) to the forums, that a bunch of CBR idiots posted to. I didn't even know of it.

I still have to get around to re-reg'ing.

^Doesn't surprise me. With everything wiped, everything seems so...gutted to the point where starting over conversations that's been highly discussed 100X over just feels empty and pointless haha.

Off to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 tonight and can't wait.

Didn't read any reviews from those one-directional minded critics but I see TASM2 is getting ripped apart by the bloodiest of teeth. Man of Steel had its fair share of critical thumping but many people who didn't like the decisions still felt it to be a good movie with respected nods to what the feel and tone to MoS was set out to accomplish.

With TASM2, it's sounding like it suffers from lacking its own personality and goes through an identity crisis that tries to mix in multiple tones with different feelings and it's crashing and burning.

Going into this open minded so we'll see how it goes. 8)

I'm not defending TAS2 as great art or even necessarily, a great movie. But I had ALOT of fun watching it. Y'know, sometimes a comic book superhero movie should be just that. Pure neon CGI spectacle. Not everything has to be a somber pretentious Zack Snyder/Chris Nolan metaphor for the military-industrial complex or the CIA surveillance state. The origin of Electro was handled rather clumsily in the movie (and waaay too much like Jim Carrey's Riddler in Batman Forever), but other than that, I thought it was massively entertaining. At the same time, I am in the admitted EXTREME minority that found Raimi's Spiderman 3 to be fun as well. I am interested to hear what YoungJRNY and others thought of it.

Took my son to see it yesterday. Agree with you about Electro/Riddler connection, very similiar which for me is a bad thing. Also really never cared for the whole parent storyline, or the spider being engineered to Parker DNA. Stupid and unnecessary. Another thing I don't like is every bad guy being originated at Oscorp. A stupid, lazy and cheap easy explanation for every villian. Peter and Harry don't see each other since they're 8 then 10 years later come back together and are instant best friends? The whole movie deviated so much from the comics, I give it 2.5/5, with much of that credited to Emma Stone. God I love looking at her! I think this is also the best spidey suit and I like the mechanical webshooters in this reboot too.

On a brighter note. The Winter Soldier is at $680 million worldwide and still going strong. (MOS finished at $668 M) What did you think of TWS TNC?

Haven't been able to find the time, RWF. It's on my list tho. Maybe this week. As for Oscorp being the epicenter of all of Spidey's foes...it is def lazy, from a creative standpoint. However, the kiddie set will prolly lap it up. TAS2 was a veritable creaturepalooza. Electro, Goblin, Rhino, little winks and nods to Doc Ock and Vulture. Most of this was not handled very well, but what ten year old doesn't love a good monster mash-up?

CA:TWS has exceeded MOS's worldwide gross as of this last weekend. It's a great movie that deserves the big screen treatment. A lot of people rate it on par with the first Iron Man.

FWIW, MOS probably would've earned a shit-ton more moola but there's still a contingent that feels Supes should retain his boy scout persona. The neck-snap turned a lot of (old school) people off.

Unfortunatly, I didn't get around to seeing TASM2 yet. I was supposed to go the other night but things came up with both mine and other peoples schedule. I'm sick of waiting so will prob ride solo tomorrow and then see it again with my bro this weekend.

The more and more I hear about it, the more and more I'm eager to get in there and see for myself with an open mind with leveled to moderate expectations. Most fans think it's vomit while others think its' only borderline good at best.

Me, personally, I still feel I'm going to enjoy it. I like when CBM's don't follow the same tiring script and takes chances so we'll see.

How's ASM2? I think I'm going to wait for DVD for this one. Too many reports of it resembling a video game with a threadbare story (and the obvious outcome that draws from one of the iconic Spidey sagas).

Next movie: Godzilla. We scored some passes to see it midweek. Really looking forward to this one. I want it to amaze.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep, still didn't see it. I swear I'm going to though.... I swear lol. I guess the drive has died down for me. To many stalls with this one and it has nothing to do with the reviews or word of mouth. My brother-in-law saw it last night and we have the same taste in superhero movies and he said he didn't like it as much as the first but it was still a good viewing. I trust him.

As for Godzilla....THAT'S going to be bigtime. X-Men: DOFP is looking to mo-murd as well. I said earlier I was X-Men fatigue and didn't give a shit just a little time ago but to my amazement, I'm looking forward to it.

The reviews for Godzilla make it sound like Cranston (Breaking Bad) really has a much more minor role than the trailers are letting on.

The leads are played by Cranston, Aaron-Taylor Johnson and Ken Watanabe. I'm sure they all get adequate screen time. I don't want another debacle like the '98 film, I want to see multiple kaiju and epic monster battles, which this film reportedly has.

I'm seeing it tomorrow night, so worry not. My thoughts, post, I shall. :D

Okay, that doesn't reveal much more. But it looks like we're getting a suit much closer to Miller's. What I've seen so far of the new Batmobile looks great.

Tear*. I'm loving the Bat-battle scars. Love the insignia, looks like he's had some major ruins with Catwoman due tot he scratches. This is insane. Looks like a mix between the Noel suit, DKR logo and the New52 Jim Lee Batman. In other words, THE FUCKING GODDAMN BATMAN!

Snyder used a filter, so the official image doesn't show anywhere near all the detail or color-scheme. Though, it looks like the Bat-Emblem will be greyish and not colored in. Filming begins this upcoming Monday, the 19th. Expect the Wonder Woman suit and the Superman-tweaked suit to follow!

That's what I'm really waiting for. I wonder if they went for the blue pants or shorts.
