I'm actually taking a pass on multiple tours I would normally see because of outrageous ticket prices mostly.

Seeing Steve Augeri in Connecticut this Saturday (July 5).
A bunch of others lined up. Heart, The Zombies, Chicago & REO, and Great White & Vixen.

I'd love to see them, but their current schedule brings them only as close as 6 hours from me. Bummer. I'll keep an eye out in case they make it up here.

Billy Joel was a massive disappointment for me in April. Short set (barely 90 minutes at a pretty steep ticket price) with lackluster song selection. The show really paled in comparison to when i saw him with elton a few years back. hope you have better luck.

Passing on that tour because I can't bare to hear Paul Stanley as a shell of himself and the rip off prices for two 75 minute sets.

Figured the crowd would only pay half attention (true), figured I'd be seeing a lot of "interesting" white folks (true), figured Rick would only stick to the basic hits for this crowd (happily false).
He did three songs off the latest album, 1 off of SDAA, and some lesser-played old songs. Even had a cool medley in there. He covered Roar, Wild Thing and We Can Work it Out - all really good versions. He did a very stripped down version of "You and Me" which I would have loved to hear, but the crowd did not cooperate. I didn't let it get to me though because again, the time and place.
Our Ship's Sinking is such a great song and he played it as perfect as possible. It was pretty amazing. I think he turns 65 this week. You'd never know it from watching the show.
And the Ribs were pretty good. Coleslaw sucked. And no corn that I could see. I drove through 60 miles of corn fields to get there, but no roasted corn in sight.
Anyway, great show.
