Outside of the Dark Knight Trilogy, DC has made numerous attempts in the early decade to follow through with a shared universe and Justice League. It's not like just because Marvel all of a sudden has success with a shared universe, that DC all of a sudden noticed this and got onboard. In fact, DC had every intention to lift a shared universe off the ground first but had major misses inbetween like Green Lantern halt their progression and Marvel beat them too the punch.

The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012) have both grossed 1 billion globally.
The Avengers (2012) and Iron Man 3 (2012) have both grossed 1 billion globally.
Marvel and DC are two for two.

Don't waste your time explaining it to him. There are plenty of posts he can go back and reread. He doesn't care about these films or the genre or anything not called Farscape or Doctor Who. He ignores anything we say and chimes in whenever TNC is on the shitter and has forgotten his phone.
Monker wrote:Like I said a long time ago, if you have to take time to explain WHY Batman is fighting Superman then it's having problems from the start...all of that should be explained by the STUDIO in promotion - not the hardcore fans.
Monker wrote:According to YOU guys whenever there was a miss (Superman Returns or Green Lantern) they completely barfed on their plans.
They had an opportunity to make an absolutely outstanding film based on character driven drama.
Instead all that is talked about is all the fluff of guest stars, special affects, and costumes.
What a wasted opportunity when the very fans like you would rather post CGI pics of Aquaman
.than discuss the drama between Batman and Superman

It's not BvS. That would be interesting. It is BvS, with a supporting role by Wonder Woman....
all of that should be explained by the STUDIO in promotion - not the hardcore fans.

Ben Affleck Says Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice Script Is Really Smart
In regards to Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, which he probably won't win an Oscar for but everyone will go see, Affleck professed, "I’m having a blast."
Affleck also praised the script, which is written by Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio. Affleck described the script as being "really unique to the genre and really smart."
