I always said that Marvel exploded excitement to their movies by giving fans an end-credit scene to look forward to see what was next. With Man of Steel, in every showing I went to, about 85% of the audience stayed to see an "end credit" scene to see if there was anything coming next and everyone left dissapointed. I always said that hurt Man of Steel's word of mouth because people were probably like "that's it?" because of nothing to see what was coming next.

Turns out, Zack Snyder had a post-credit scene lined up for the next movie but Nolan didn't allow him to do it because he doesn't believe in post-credit scenes. Snyder mentioned before about a piece of Kryptonite being delivered to Wayne Manor. I bet that was his post-credit scene to set up Batman.

I remember that. I don't have a problem with the movie not having a post-credits scene but I think you're right. Thanks to Marvel, everybody expects one. Plus, Green Lantern did have one. It was a mid-credits scene, but it set up Sinestro as the villain for the aborted sequel.

As one of the lucky few who were invited to the world premiere of "Man of Steel" in New York last year, I remember sitting in the theater after the movie finished, just soaking up the atmosphere and the buzz of the crowd as the credits rolled. With many of the cast and crew in attendance, many of them sat through the entire credits before the lights came on and we all filed out. Unlike many of the recent Marvel superhero movies, there was no post-credits scene. No big deal.
A few days later, when the film was released the public, I also went along to the first midnight screening in New York, and when the movie finished, nobody moved. Everyone sat around anticipating a post-credit scene... Staff of the theater had to come to the front of the cinema screen and shout out to everyone, "There's no post-credit scene! It's finished. Please exit."

It has been revealed that Christopher Nolan was the one who made the decision not to include a post-credits sequence in "Man of Steel". In a profile piece for The Guardian ahead of the release of his new film "Interstellar", Nolan reveals that he doesn't like post-credit scenes because "a real movie wouldn't do that."

Holly Hunter confirms scenes with Superman in BvS:

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently shooting in Chicago, and The Wall Street Journal recently caught up with Holly Hunter to quiz her on starring in the Zack Snyder helmed movie. She obviously couldn't say too much, but did praise the director and her experience working on the highly anticipated 2016 release. "It was really fun to be part of a giant, massive piece of machinery, headed up by Zack Snyder, who is thoroughly at home in that uber mega environment. Most people would have a nervous breakdown with that kind of pressure, and he’s enthralled." As we mentioned above, rumour has it that Hunter plays a US Senator in the movie and it sounds like that will lead to her sharing scenes with the Man of Steel in Batman v Superman. "I have scenes with Superman. He looks phenomenal. And to see Ben [Affleck, who plays Batman] and Henry [Cavill, who plays Superman] together is quite formidable. They are massive hunks of masculinity." What do you guys think of these comments? Sound off below...

Report: Jared Leto To Play THE JOKER. Not in BvS or Bat solos, but for SUICIDE SQUAD.

Was just reading about that. I hope he doesn't have a giant role, though. I want them to focus on Harley Quinn.

Looks like some classic Superman/Lois Lane scenes are being filmed. As a Supes fan, that makes me very happy!

I bet Suicide Squad will be the story and lead that gives us the Superman/Batman solo outings while Justice League will continue to branch off to other heroes. Just a hunch. Suicide Squad will introduce Joker to Batman's world and it's rumored Eisenberg will indeed play a part as Lex in SQ. No doubt in my mind the Superman/Batman solo movies will be intertwined with Suicide Squad, which will be all kinds of KICKASS.

Jesse Eisenberg is also expected to reprise his role as Superman's mortal foe Lex Luthor, though no casting is confirmed at this time.

He flies in this movie? Hey, man, no spoilers!

DC's already taking back some of the hype. Wonder Woman beat out Dr. Strange, Aquaman, Wolverine AND Deadpool in Yahoo's November character spotlight.

v, you're going to have to physically restrain me from BvS news once the hype train starts rolling. That's the thing. This thing hasn't even started, yet. WB is far away from even hyping or selling the movie. It's going to be a helluva ride once the teaser hits next month.

DC animated films are really hit and miss for me, and I've never watched a single one that really, really hit a home run in my opinion... except for this one. WELL worth the watch. Very faithful to the source material as far as screen adaptations go. I rented it via streaming, then bought the DVD version that combined parts 1 & 2 as soon as it hit the shelves. Let me know what you think.

I've had TDKR by Frank Miller in my hands for a long time. Never read it (as a Supes fan and hearing Supes fan gag over it, I'm reluctant) but I'm waiting for the perfect time to open it and read it from cover to cover. I know as an overall piece of industry writing, you won't get a better graphic novel out there but I've heard great things about the animated version. Once I'm done reading the contents, I'll buy the animation for sure.

I really enjoyed it, Rip. I think some of the voice casting was a little off (Peter Weller as Batman, especially), but I thought it was dark, gritty, and epic - just the way Batman should be. Animation was the obviously the route to go, as parts of TDKR wouldn't have translated to live action (like Batman in the old lady disguise, or Reagan as President). Cool movie. Last DC animated flick I took a look at was Superman Doomsday. This was better.
