Crutch being waved in audience?

Just wondering if anyone here knows why there was always someone in the audience waving a crutch in a lot of the live videos of the band. Last time I saw it was on Girl Can't Help It video. Just wondering if it means anything?

It means there was always someone in the audience who had a leg/foot injury....that's all.

It's the same guy. They used footage from the Mountain Aire show (1986) in several videos.
Dude was standing about 10 feet in front of me. Waved that @#$%ing crutch the entire show.
