Damn, I want to see a rough cut, too. No fair!

"How can we know Superman? We live by his good graces. We make assumption that he will always be good and never turn on us… Can we trust him? These are themes similar to those that orbited Superman-satire Doctor Manhanttan in Snyder’s Watchmen. Superhero or god? “He’s having a crisis of conscience,” says Snyder of his Dark Knight: “Am I really just a vigilante who stalks the alleys of Gotham?’ It is rich stuff that he deals with. Ben does an amazing job.”

So you're no longer a troll, you're a supertroll. Got it.
Last I checked, he still comes from Krypton and stands for "truth, justice, and the American way." He even pretty much says so at the end of Man of Steel. Stop trying so hard.

Maybe you should remind Zack Snyder. He's the one who said, "We make assumption that he will always be good and never turn on us… Can we trust him?"
We make that assumption because of decades of history. His one film is not the sole defining moment to those who assume to 'know' Suyperman.
verslibre wrote:Rhetoric. There's no script for it yet. They obviously want George (or somebody) to direct it, but since info was already bubbling to the surface without anyone's consent, they slapped an "on hold" sticker on it to nip the chatter.
The_Noble_Cause wrote:Man of Steel 2 debunked. Superman sequel said to be on "permanent hold." No surprises here.

The_Noble_Cause wrote:Seems highly doubtful. The gossip for more Affleck Batman films continues uninterrupted. Why? Because those Bat films will actually see the light of day. Man of Steel 2 joins Green Lantern 2 on the scrapyard of stillborn franchises.
YoungJRNYfan wrote:Check the source there, lmao. Denofgeek? That site is below-below the bottom of the trash can rumor sites. First of all, "permanent hold" makes absolutely no sense. They are even confused by what they are writing in that article. It's site click-bait running with a prior leak or story.
YoungJRNYfan wrote:Snyder has a huge room in his Snyder-cave dedicated to the DCEU and how it will all fit in and play out. After BvS and SSquad, it's going to be Wonder Woman and Justice League. After that, it's all about placing the next set of movies and where it all fits, storywise. Affleck is rumored to be the director of The Batman, but nothing, as of yet, has been confirmed. Rumors are rumors. All we DO know is Warner Brother's slate of movies (that they confirmed) with a Superman and Batman solo in the plans. It just all about getting to the others like Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern Corps, etc before getting to another Batman and Superman solo that will probably lead us into the next phase of storytelling. I expect the Batman and Superman movie to come out around 2018-2020.
Its' from a no mark site. None of the trades have reported this. Bottom line is, BvS doesn't come out for another 7 months and people (read: clickbait sites) are wildly looking for things to talk about. WB have already said there will be standalone Batman and Superman films.

Studios shuffle movies around all the time. After The Winter Soldier blew away Thor 2, Marvel took their sweet time putting together the next one. Civil War was fast-tracked while Thor 3 didn't even have a script, changing up the release schedule. When they staged their Hollywood event, we learned Thor: Ragnarok was scheduled for November 2017, which means a four-year gap between solo Thor movies.
Amazing Spider-Man 2 grossed more than MoS but it's considered a failure because of how much they spent to make and promote it. It's not stopping them from making more Spidey movies.
P.S. Green Lantern Corps, right? The Ryan Reynolds movie isn't stopping WB. Once BvS and SS are out, everyone will be whistling a different tune.
verslibre wrote:MoS2 was always scheduled to come after the next crop of films. BvS is done, Suicide Squad is moving into postproduction, Wonder Woman is in preproduction, and Justice League is written. Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns are writing The Batman.

So Hollywood is waiting until 2019/2020 to release a sequel to a 2013 film? Riiight. It's simply not happening.
