My first initial reaction is that most audiences aren't going to accept anybody but Bale so soon, but if there were a smooth transition, Ben Affleck is a big enough name with a big enough fanbase to allow people to recognize the face in the cowl to accept it. Though, it seems like they'll take the "experienced" road contrasted to Superman's young and edgier direction, which is always interesting. Judging by age and age alone, looks like Cavill would have a higher ceiling when it comes to portraying the Supes character for a long time and Affleck will in for a few films and maybe a one-shot since he's already in his 40's for that specific world.

As long as Affleck can channel his angsty inner caped crusader, it should be ok. I still see him as the grinning toothsome jackass in Armaggedon, but oh well. The bigger question is, can Goyer and Snyder write a good Bat vs Supes films? My hunch is no....

Seriously, I know you're a Bat-fan more than anything and Bat-fans' first reactions were always going to be this, but lets not get TOO out of hand with the Clooney comparisons. I think that is downright ridiculous to even think of such a thing.

Though, I WILL NOT LIE. If there was EVER an actor that I wanted to pummel and stop-sign (if nobody knows what a stop-sign is, it's a swift KNEE TO THE FACE) was Ben Affleck. They are going to have to sculpt the cowl to unbelievable lengths as well because Affleck's head is absolutely GIGANTIC.

Other than that, I'm a "glass is half-full" type person by nature and can see the direction if they can knock this out of the park. The suicide notes left around the world must mean that this could, potentially, be a great signing in the end, haha.

We'll see in '15.

I remember vividly. He's the last guy I expected to be cast. I was expecting/rooting for Karl Urban or maybe Henry's buddy Luke.

Even if I hadn't come around, the full SDCC trailer would've been enough to convert me instantaneously.

Remember, I also wasn't digging on J.E. as Luthor, but that had mainly to do with my perception of him as a comedy actor. Then again, a lot of great actors — Tom Hanks being the best example — start out in comedies. (Chris Evans was in both Epic Movie and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, which is a very silly but hilarious flick.)

BvS will no doubt be a transformative experience for many as far as the actors, the establishment of the DCEU, and characters that have simply taken too long (or is the timing just right) to show up on the big screen.

RE: the new cowl sculpt. Man, I love it. It's the most comic-accurate cowl on film to date.

I can't want to see this freakin' movie.

Eh Maybe's latest "scoop" informs us that two different minute-long BvS exclusives will air on Monday, October 26, one during the series premiere of Supergirl, the other that same week in the midst of a new episode of Gotham. The former will be Superman-centric, naturally, the latter will focus on Batman.

I didn't even know Supergirl was also going to be on Mondays. If Supergirl and Gotham air at the same time, that kind of sucks!

Next full trailer: November, possibly attached to Spectre.

October is going to be a huge month. I bet they announce Batman's solo film. I would shit if they announce Batman V Superman will be moved up. "We have officially completed Batman V Superman. So here it is!"

George Miller hasn't confirmed discussions between himself and the studio about directing MoS2. He hasn't outright denied them, either.

He said something this week that I find verrry interesting:

"There's discussions about [more Mad Max films] right now. I hope the next film I make is a very small film without any special effects and not many stunts."

This actually makes me believe that there is a very good chance he's the next Superman/DCEU director.

After the success of The Dark Knight, Nolan was routinely asked what the third film in the trilogy would entail. He'd give the stock "we'll see what happens" responses, but one I remember distinctly was "I imagine the third movie being a quieter, more personal film." (Or something very close to that.)

Such answers are designed to throw off the hounds and sidestep disclosure of hard info while the details are smoothed out.

Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I think George really might make MoS2.

WB is fucking serious about their people involved to shut the fuck up or else. They are ninjas and want to be the first to officially announce things from the studio.

The best was Momoa's interviews. They kept asking him about Aquaman and he literally had to sit there and deny them over and over. It got to the point where he said "I'm not fucking Aquaman." Haha.

The next Supes film will be after JL1; JL2 or The Batman. They got time to get it right whoever steps in. Contracts are still on the table for people like Cavill too.

Many believe people are hush hush about the next Supes film in fear that the announcement may spoil Justice League or his role in JL or BvS. So many variables. We shall see! It's a fun time. Miller didn't flat out deny it, which makes me believe he's still in the cards.

Yeah, it does, especially since there's others out there while another threat is destined to emerge. This will show Batman that even Superman needs help and he was mis-understood and outmatched with his tangle with Zod. It's still comic book property ,bro. There's more to it than just that. Batman is use to Gotham thugs and terrorists..not aliens. This will open his eyes to a new world, hence, his return. Atleast someone's holding someone responsible, unlike Stark this whole time who seems to get away with most of his petty schemes that he created.

Rated R antihero ' s won't work if they're PG-13, especially characters like Deadpool who need to be unleashed. It's the reason why Reynolds pushed so hard for the rating. Givin the character, it's warranted.

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Seth Grahame-Smith, the author of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," is in negotiations to write and direct Warner Bros. upcoming "Flash" solo film.

The report comes from undisclosed sources, who state that the author will come on board following the departure of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. That duo, who worked up a treatment for the film and were expecting to direct it as well, left the project to work on the upcoming Han Solo prequel.

While "The Flash" would be Grahame-Smith's directorial debut, he already has practice writing superheroes for the big screen; he's the screenwriter behind the upcoming "LEGO Batman" film. He's also directed for television before, helming a few episodes of his MTV series "The Hard Times of RJ Berger."

"The Flash" already has a leading man in place, Ezra Miller, who is expected to make an appearance in next year's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and 2017's "Justice League" film. The solo "Flash" film opens on March 3, 2018.
