The July 30th date is in Missouri (St Louis suburb) not Mississippi.

Guys,
I don't really think promoters think Santana & Journey as a combo is a draw. Remember Herbie's admonition to the band in the 70's? "Steve Perry is going to be in this band. Get used to it." That was all because Journey - for all intense and purposes in those days - WAS Santana... A fusion rock jam band with an average singer not asked to do all that much. The emphasis was on the guitars. Herbie and CBS realized the mass appeal would come with a crooner. Today's Journey still sells because they play those vocally-driven, female-friendly hits. The year they toured as "An Evening With..." and played a pre-Perry set, my wife wanted to kill me. Whether we on this board like it or not, a Santana/Journey bill will undoubtedly look like the same to most fans and won't be all that popular.

Journey, Santana, Steve Miller Band and the Doobie Brothers -- three Bay Area acts that have combined to sell over 250 million albums -- are joining forces on Sept. 4 at San Francisco Fest 2016 at AT&T Park.

Tickets are $55-$250 and go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. March 18, http://www.ticketmaster.com. American Express card members have access to a presale, which runs noon March 14 to 10 p.m. March 17.

"This concert is the ultimate homecoming show for us and we are blessed to perform with our Bay Area friends," Journey said in a news release. "Our history with everyone runs deep and it's going to be a show you won't want to miss."

SF Festival is being billed as taking place on "on the green." The concert pays homage to Bill Graham's legendary multi-act "Day on the Green" shows, which were held at the Oakland Coliseum from the early '70s to the early '90s.

Journey, Santana, Steve Miller Band and the Doobie Brothers combined to appear at 12 Day on the Green concerts.

I bought my tickets this morning through the Santana Fan Club pre-sale. I normally would never go to a concert at the ballpark or spend $300 for a ticket, but I couldn't miss the chance to see Santana with Gregg & Neal.

I did it. I am going to the Journey concert in August. I have a feeling the Doobie Brothers put on a good show and will give Journey a run for their money! Let's see if this inspires Journey to take their show to the next level. :D

I think Doobies are a good fit for Journey (like Steve Miller) in that they are a bit of a draw, especially when combined with Journey, yet they are the clear opener and aren't likely to bring energy that could upstage Journey. Examples: Styx in 2003 and Foreigner in 2011 had more energy than Journey......and Journey in 2006 blew Leppard off the stage.

Spent 40min on ticketmaster.com this a.m. trying to get tickets to the SF show. 4 tries and 40min searching all prices and packages and could not get through to buy tics.

Never had this problem before. Keep getting the "try back later. Tons of people are searching for tics" message. :x
