It's at 636M WW. I think you predicted 640M, right? Shit, this train is still rolling!

Yessir. When the reviews came in, I went with it atleast hitting $600 mil. Once the weekdays were performing very well week after week, my final adjustment was $640. It's going to get close to $700 and might find it somewhere around $305-10 dom. Big win for WB and the DCEU. Wonder Woman is going to hit the ground running and put the DCEU back on its feet. I think WW will easily get BvS numbers. Possibly exceed it.

Very likely. It'll open huge, and then we'll see all the usual weekly drop nonsense on the boards, but it won't matter. It'll be a mega-win.

http://www.thewrap.com/deathstroke-will-be-main-villain-in-ben-afflecks-batman-movie-exclusive/

Deathstroke Will Be Main Villain in Ben Affleck’s Batman Movie (Exclusive)

Ben Affleck wasn’t just teasing: Deathstroke will, in fact, be the main antagonist of the Batman standalone movie he’s directing, TheWrap has exclusively learned from an individual with knowledge of the situation.

Earlier this morning, the actor who plays the Dark Knight posted a cryptic tweet of the new villain walking toward the camera in very cinematic fashion, which sent fanboys into a frenzy of speculation.

Horror's hot. Notice it took a horror film to knock it down to #2! It even fended off some kids' flicks, including Pete's Dragon, which should have done better business (or maybe people didn't give a shit about a remake/revisit/reboot of that).

Dang, been away too long. Saw SS twice. I liked it pretty good. Looks like it suffered from too many chiefs (Warner brother chiefs) in the finally mix.
Hated how they took a lot of the Joker and HQ out. I really liked this version of the Joker, not as good a Ledger's but better than Jack's. At times the movies was going for dark, then light...kinda of unbalanced the tone a little. Still liked the movie, a B, could have been a lot better if the would have went with Ayer's instinct and WB keep to their selves.

The Ultimate BVS is awesome!!! Now between it, the Dark Knight and 1st Avengers as my favorite superhero movie.

Like the fact they are using Slade as the villain in the solo Bat movie, and not going with the standard Joker/Penguin/Riddler/Catwoman. Could make a good movie. Still Like the Leto's Joker show up.

Affleck is going to direct the absolute FUCK out of 'The Batman.' That movie is going to be insanely good. Affleck is no joke in the directors chair.

Just finished Captain America : Civil War. My impression was that it blew BvS out of the fucking water. I kept thinking that the issue with BvS was the story...I didn't buy it, and Jesse Eisenberg was a horrible villain.

Civil War, on the other hand was a SUPERB story, in contrast. That is not to say I didn't like BvS, for what it was...but it didn't leave me wanting to re-watch it.

Can't wait for the sequel, Dory vs. Nemo!

^Should go in the Marvel thread.

You need to watch the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman. My guess is you've only seen the theatrical version.

The story in Civil War isn't anything genius-level. It forces many a contrivance in order to get from Point A to Point B.

BvS has the single best action scene between both movies, too. Zack's the man when it comes to fight choreography.

SSQUAD is a big hit for WB and the DCEU. Had a solid 12+ million weekend and passed $300 mil domestically; $675+ WW and counting. Gear up for the DCEU!

S2M, we all know you locked yourself in your bedroom, busted out the cordless microphone and put on your own lipping concert to NSYNC singing to your bed full of stuffed animals or that reference would have never came up..just how Monker sits at home on a Saturday night eating ice cream in his Batman pajamas watching Batman V Superman every weekend. It's quite obvious

Look, the old "just because it made a lot of money doesn't mean it's good" goalpost switcheroo.

Now apply that to Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, the last four Star Wars movies including The Force Awakens, and Journey's Raised on Radio. Thanks a bunch!

v, that's asking way too much. You know damn well these guys are straining so hard to undermine DC they're seconds away from passing kidney stones. The stress on the hata's to see this gurantee more and more and more and more DCEU film is so fun to witness.

Awesome to see SSQUAD, a non familiar comic book property, do this well without the horsepower of successful brand recognition backing it up or riding any positive reviewed momentum. People enjoyed SSQUAD. It had heart and solid performances from the characters everyone wanted to see (Harley; Deadshot.) Not every film is going to be a masterpiece, but this movie didn't need to be. It's scary the numbers the DCEU can pull in when they hit their stride. SSQUAD is a big win for the studio.

TDK was ok. Ledger's portrayal, and subsequent death has raised it to the height it is today.

A lot of these comic book movies are too long, and plodding.

I don't have skin in the game, concerning DCEU v. Marvel. Honestly. ..couldn't care less. I find the genre saturated, and hokey. The impetus is $$$, not story, art, or anything that explores, or furthers the human condition in a PROFOUND way...they are merely 120+ minutes of explosions, deception, fabricated drama, and thinly executed romance.

Hey, but if that's your jam...have at it.

Yeah, we know the Bond and Bourne and Star Bores flicks and Cameron's upcoming Avatar sequels are all about "art."

Maybe you didn't get the memo, but The Dark Knight single-handedly elevated the CBM genre to another level and won it more respect and kudos than any film before it. Why do you think it's on that list?
