Keep in mind it was only the Clinton Global Initiative that is being closed down and not the whole foundation. The foundation is like a huge spiderweb of various charities. I use the word charities very lightly. If you want some insight to the structure and operation of this massive fraud, check out Charles Ortel's site. He has done extensive research of the foundation and it's operations.

So to answer your question, I think it's both A and B. Now you're leaving out a lot of other information such as how this would impact the American economy, business owners, employees, and consumer. Like my car scenario mentioned, instead of purchasing something that would cost two and three times more because it's imported, most would tend to purchase domestic for up to 1/3rd the price. Nearly all manufacturing has been outsourced out of America and to other countries now. You really don't have a choice anymore to buy American made. Levi's used to be a very quality jean. Look at the cheap shit coming out of Mexico now from that outsourced company. With Trump doing what he's doing in regards to trade, we will again have a choice to buy truly American (domestic) or foreign (imported). And that will equate into positive business for America, American businesses, business owners, employees and consumers. And ultimately A and B wouldn't effect those who have chosen to purchase American (domestic) vs foreign (imported).

First of all, this is bunk because import cars already cost more to a comparable US car. It is also bunk that "almost all" car manufacturing is outside of the US. A lot of it, but not "almost all". Finally, people who choose to buy an import are doing so to buy better standard featurs and perceived quality...not because they are cheaper.
but, whatever, let's say Trump adds the import tax you are describing...so it costs twice as much to buy an import. So, now those people who were buying foreign cars now want to buy American. That is going to cause pressure for inflation of car prices. Why? BECAUSE MORE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE BUYING AMERICAN CARS. More demand means the price can go up and auto industry can make more money. YOU REMOVED THEIR COMPETITION to keep prices lower. So, the industry can double or triple the price of their cars before they hit ANY foregin competition. You also removed the competition for QUALITY. So, they can now make a lower quality product and people will buy it because there is no competition.
So, for the average person, this is NOT GOOD. They will end up paying more and getting a lower quality product.
Then there is the topic of imports costing less than American made. In your car scenerio, if imports cost $5k less on average...$20k for an import and $25k for American...as soon as that tax is implemented to price imports out of the competition you have %20 inflation on cars...because the average price of a car went up $5k because you removed the competition...and as described above, there will be economic pressure to raise the price even higher.
And, after prices are raised and the industry is making more money, they can cut the number of cars made because they are making more profit on a single car and therefore need to sell fewer cars to make the same profit. Since they can cut the number of cars made, they can cut the number of employees at the factories.
This is simple, basic, economics...something Republicans once understood.
So, for the average person, this is NOT GOOD. They will end up paying more and getting a lower quality product...and there will be FEWER factory jobs in the long term.

KC, as I said in the Obama/election thread constantly, Hillary was a non-starter for any real leftist. Trump, for all his flaws, was genuinely against TPP and represented a clean break from dynasty politics. Hillary was also the more war-mongering of the two. Even RFK's former speechwriter endorsed Trump as the peace candidate. When it came to an economic vision....Bernie offered Democratic Socialism, Trump offered some weird hybrid of Protectionism meets Supply Side...meanwhile, Hillary was too busy mentioning No Fly Zones against Russia. As James Carville said, "It's the economy stupid!" On top of all that, the DNC has yet to remove Donna Brazile from her leadership role even after she was caught leaking debate questions. All of these factors made my vote for Trump an easy one.

CNN was caught as well. I'm not 100% happy with everything Trump has done, even though I find myself defending him against the lies every day. He certainly screwed the pooch on his Visa stay. Now that we have a real DOJ, I look forward to the Clintons paying for their crimes. One thing I'm enjoying about Trump is he's pissing off Republican trash like McCain and Graham, along with Pelosi, Shummer, and Sackofshitwia on the other side. If nothing else, I hope he rids Washington of all the paid off trash in both Parties. Like I said, I wasn't for Trump, but now I know no one could have beat the scam the DNC and Clintons had, but Trump, and he did it with luck. Even though we are on different sides of the fence, welcome back.

It seems some forget McCain's pathetic run for POTUS against Obama. The guy needs to go. Every time criticism is made towards McCain the "war hero" shield is brought out. What he did as a member of our military is one thing and what he does as a politician is another. Also, at the start of Trump taking office there was a lot of talk about term limits. Now it seems to have died down. In my opinion, McCain is a perfect example for the need to have term limits.

And the hypocrisy is so stunning. We go from Hillary saying that "not respecting an election result is a threat to democracy" to Dems marching in the streets, demanding recounts, claiming Russia hacked, blaming gerrymandering...what a bunch of unpatriotic little bitches.

Brzezinski: ‘Our Job’ Is to Control ‘Exactly What People Think’
Controlling "exactly what people think" is the job of the media, MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski boldly declared Wednesday morning.
SCARBOROUGH: "Exactly. That is exactly what I hear. What Yamiche said is what I hear from all the Trump supporters that I talk to who were Trump voters and are still Trump supporters. They go, 'Yeah you guys are going crazy. He's doing -- what are you so surprised about? He is doing exactly what he said he is going to do.'"
BRZEZINSKI: "Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job."

British suicide bomber in Iraq had won compensation for Guantanamo stay
An Islamic State suicide bomber from Britain who blew himself up in an attack on Iraqi forces this week had been given compensation for his detention in the Guantanamo Bay military prison, Western security sources said on Wednesday.
Originally from the northern English city of Manchester, he converted to Islam in his 20s. He was detained in Afghanistan by U.S. special forces and taken to Guantanamo in 2002.
Britani was freed in 2004 after the government of then-Prime Minister Tony Blair lobbied for his release and later traveled to Syria to fight with Islamic State.

Good! They need shrinks, not the federal government deciding they can use bathrooms that differ from their gender of birth. Less government is better! Got a dick....use the men's room. Got a vagina...use the ladies room. Really simple concept that has worked since the beginning of time. Stupid regulations put undue stress on businesses. We've gotta stop catering to all these freaks every time they identify as something and squeal about it. We are equal and that means no extra rights for some fringe groups. Bathroom rules shouldn't change for someone who decides to cross dress.
