Well, looks like WB has no shortage of confidence in Patty's movie. They held a test screening (this is way before the June release date) in L.A. the other night, and while reviewers can't say anything yet because of the usual NDA stuff, some non-spoilery things have been mentioned:
*The movie's villain is who you think it is, and his look's faithful to the comics. I accidentally (because some guys don't know how to use spoiler tags, lol) saw the action figure, and s/he looks WICKED cool.
*The movie's narrative is linear, with some flashback framing, but there are no jump cuts, interludes, dream sequences, etc.
*The tone is balanced, the characterization is good, and there's not much in the way of goofy Marvel-style humor, thankfully. But yes, there's humor.
*Great action!
