^Oh, yeah! I'll be picking that up!

Well, looks like WB has no shortage of confidence in Patty's movie. They held a test screening (this is way before the June release date) in L.A. the other night, and while reviewers can't say anything yet because of the usual NDA stuff, some non-spoilery things have been mentioned:

*The movie's villain is who you think it is, and his look's faithful to the comics. I accidentally (because some guys don't know how to use spoiler tags, lol) saw the action figure, and s/he looks WICKED cool.

*The movie's narrative is linear, with some flashback framing, but there are no jump cuts, interludes, dream sequences, etc.

*The tone is balanced, the characterization is good, and there's not much in the way of goofy Marvel-style humor, thankfully. But yes, there's humor.

*Great action!

I'm going Saturday with my brother. Really looking forward to it. Though I liked The Wolverine and some of Deadpool, I still felt like those films were run of the mill and generic superhero flicks so I'm banking on Logan being different enough to suit my tastes. We'll see!

As for WW, I've been reading a bunch of mixed reports. No real consensus if it is "good" or "bad". Everybody likes the trailers but the trailers can be deceiving. I also think a lot of people were burned by BvS and SS and will be overly cautious about WW, even if it IS a good movie.

And, SS, that movie is horrible. 50 cent rental on PlayStation. The first 1/4 of the movie is introducing the characters as if it were some type of video game. It's just bad, bad, bad writing. Will Smith was good, Harley Quinn and the Joker's interactions were good..but totally out of place. Everything else was shit. I would have rather seen a Batman movie with Harley Quin, Joker and Deadshot. That could have been a good movie. Oh, well.

I'll guess WW as being on level with the first Thor movie. A sorta take it or leave it, good origin story...that does everything that Marvel origin stories were good at. With Snyder being involved in any way, IMO, there is always a chance of it falling into chaos and being shit. I may see this in the theater, depending on what is going on at that time.

Thor's dogshit and always will be dogshit. Wonder Woman is Jenkins' movie. Zack got a writing cred and is basically serving as the DCEU roadmap to the "sandbox" theory. Director's will have their own say and version of the character. They will have rights and control of their own vision and story, as long as it points in a certain direction Zack and the team mapped out. Wonder Woman just had test screening's not too long ago and people really like it and the DCEU's harshest critics were on set and in the editing room and gave it 2 thumbs up. So, we'll see.

And, SS, that movie is horrible.

Check yourself..you mean the Academy Award winning Suciide Squad. Suicide Squad had great character interaction and did what it was supposed to do in bringing in fan favorites and hitting the mark by giving us solid representations of wanting more from characters like Harley Quinn and Deadshot. The third act was crap and they took a God-awful page out of Marvel's book with Enchantress, who was probably one of the worst villains ever put to screen in that third act. But, good thing Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) was the true villain of the film and will be the one featured in future films. SSQuad was a hit for audiences. As of now, Mel Gibson is on WB's radar to direct SSQuad2.
