Good interview. Neal seemed in good spirits.

Sammy should have asked, "Life or death?" Neal would say, "I like both. Life is good, but death is good, too." Just kidding!

But seriously, that was really cool.

Thanks Much for this - good interview.

Now is it Sch aw n or Sch ow (long o) n? or both?

I sure hope he is right. He seems determined to do 1 more song with Perry.
And I never knew he shared the same BDAY w/Cooke.

Of course though I share the same BDAY with Bill Cosby so I got that going for me.

I really enjoyed their interaction. One thing that struck me, though, is how Sammy beat around the bush a bit about Neal’s solos. That he’s at his best with the melodic leads but then he throws in those shreds — even chiding him that sometim s they don’t make sense. I really applauded Sammy trying to get that point across. Neal can certainly shred with the best of them, but his truly signature to me — when he’s at his finest — is when he makes his guitar sing, creating a beautiful melody unlike any other great guitarist.

I want to know this also. Is it Shawn or Shone? And is it Ro-lee or Ra-lee?

I’ve heard Neal say his own name on interviews. Last name rhymes with on. Or Shawn. Not Shown.

Never really got into the HSAS album of theirs. Some good moments, but for me, mostly forgettable.

I still to this day think Missing You if the best song Sammy has sung and one of my favorite Schon solos.
Most of the rest is mostly jam music. But still like mostly everything on there.
He will understand is another one that was great.

I remember at the time a friend who loved Corey Harts Sunglasses at Night bought his album the same time I bought HSAS.
Being the metal head he was he hated all the slow songs on it. Then I played Top of the rock for him. He wanted his money back.
