John Lennon’s Imagine Gets Massive New Box Set
A massive new reissue of John Lennon’s 1971 album Imagine is on the way.
Imagine—The Ultimate Collection is due out October 5 via Geffen/UMe.
It spans six discs and 140 tracks, including demos, outtakes, isolated tracks, a new mix of the record, and an audio documentary tracking the evolution of each song. The project was overseen by Yoko Ono, who wrote the preface of a 120-page book accompanying the set: “Imagine was created with immense love and concern for the children of the world,” she writes. “I hope you enjoy it.”
