Weird post. So Trump is a pathological liar. Everyone knows that. What does that have to do with you - as a journalist - having no standards of accuracy whatsoever?

This is all about you, all the time.

Monker wrote:Again, you are making shit up and lying about things. I did not say anything about you using "incorrect language". What you said was not true...it came from an already existing investigation. Saying Barr started a criminal investigation implies that it is something new - it's not.

I never said Barr started a criminal investigation.
I said "with the Durham probe into Russiagate now being a criminal inquiry" and I also later quoted the paper of record word-for-word saying "the NYTimes reported that the justice department has opened a criminal inquiry into the Russia investigation."
Both of these remain 100% true.

Monker wrote: If you had actually read ANY of those articles, you would know that. If you had been paying attention, you would know that. You simply did not know what was going on.

I don’t need lectures on attentiveness from a guy who thinks AOC is running for president.

You are deflecting from your own track record of non-stop failed predictions (ex. Hillary is a shoo-in!) and general cluelessness (ex. Mueller never equated collusion and conspiracy!).

I never said that Durham was just appointed or that DOJ probe into Russiagate was something brand new. You are playing word games again (likely because your Asperger’s brain can’t understand simple language).

Monker wrote: It is NOT the same thing...one implies it is something new, the other states that it is an ongoing process. It is not the NYT's fault that you don't read beyond the headline and do not understand what is going on - it is YOUR ISSUE.

The Durham probe was never initially opened a criminal matter. That is just completely false. The reporting by the NYTimes and others, while slightly sensational, is completely accurate.

Monker wrote:So, the answer is 'no',. you can't grow up for five minutes. You have to continue to act like a child.

If I wanted to act like a child, I would simply cry “bazzinga” or call people I politically disagree with “zombies.”

Monker wrote: It's not up to me to prove anything. I said, many times now, that after Comey reopened and closed the Clinton investigation that I had my doubts. All of these quotes you made were well before that happened. Post one for the last two weeks prior to the election. You have never done that because you can't. The absence of evidence is not proof.

You previously harrumphed “even if Hillary goes to jail, she could still win."

Now you are engaging in revisionist history and claiming that a mere letter was enough to tip the scales. So, which is it? Throughout the 2016 election, there was a hermetic seal between your cankered lips and Hillary’s sour asshole.

Monker wrote:Coordination and collusion are not crimes. Period.

I already said multiple times that if “any serious evidence of co-ordination/collusion existed, it would have fallen under the rubric of conspiracy, which is against the law.”
In other words, any credible evidence of collusion would have violated existing provisions of the law – including conspiracy and/or election fraud.

Monker wrote: Mueller was to investigate if they rose to criminal conspiracy.

That’s Mueller’s legal analysis as stated in his report. Rosenstein’s initial appointment letter simply authorized the special counsel to prosecute crimes arising from the investigation of Russian meddling. It’s even arguable that Rosenstein’s usage of language, including the words coordination and colluded, expanded Mueller’s jurisdiction to bring charges on those matters.

Monker wrote:THAT was his task. You, and Trump, are simply in denial of reality.

And now you are basically regurgitating my own arguments. You’ve gone from denying any equivalence between conspiracy law and collusion to now using it as a blanket defense as to why St. Mueller found jack-all shit.

Monker wrote:So what? You are just repeating yourself. All he is doing is asking Mueller to investigate if that "colluding" rose to a criminal level. Collusion is not a crime.

Wow. You are really all over the place.

First you argued that Rosenstein didn’t use the word collusion. That’s false - he did in his August 2nd memo to Mueller regarding Manafort (“committed a crime or crimes by colluding with Russian government officials with respect…”). Now you are saying it doesn't matter.

Do the absence of words matter or not? Make up your mind.

Monker wrote: You know I don't make up lies to help Hillary. You just want it to be true so bad you invent motivation and pretend it is reality.

Left without comment.

Monker: “That's just not true. She had permission to use it.”

Monker wrote:Dude, this is just stupid. You can be an expert on cartoon vaginas, I really don't care.

But let’s not quibble over minor details like that.

Thats not as clear as you would think Andrew. Some of these definitions are very vague.

This was written by self described Democrat Frank Bowman who does believe he should be removed.

"The House has opened an impeachment inquiry into President Trump’s behavior. What has Trump done that places him at peril for being removed from office?
The operative phrase in the Constitution is “treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” Whatever happened here plainly isn’t treason, because treason is very narrowly defined in the Constitution. It’s probably not bribery, either, in the original constitutional sense or in any current statutory sense. There’s an argument here that what happened was a violation of federal election law, if getting opposition research is a “thing of value” under election statutes. That’s the reason why Trump’s former lawyer [Michael Cohen] is now serving time — one of the crimes to which he pleaded guilty. But I don’t think that matters, whether there was a violation of any criminal statute. The key thing to understand about the last constitutional definition is that “high crimes and misdemeanors” doesn’t mean what it looks like it means."

He goes on to say that the main "crime" Trump committed is "Abuse of power"
There is no question that can be an impeachable offense, everyone agrees on that.
The first problem is in defining "abuse of power" the second is determining whether it rises to the level of removal.
This is where it gets partisan and alot of lawyers in Washington will have a wonderful Christmas.

So if its not clear cut and has to be debated, it will come down to how much the American People feel its worth it.
See my above post regarding that.

This is just all over the place to the point where it i hard to make sense of what point you are trying to make.

The bottom line is that Trump using the power of his Presidency to influence another nation to have Binden and his son "investigated" is abuse of power. This is the very reason the "high crimes and misdemeanors" clause exists. It is not complicated. It is not confusing. If it was not such a clear case, Pelosi would not have taken it on. Even "abuse of power" is not a "crime" per se...there doesn't have to be a crime for impeachment to happen. There is very little doubt that Trump is going to be impeached. It is going to happen.

As for conviction in the Senate; It depends on how toxic Trump becomes and how easily it is for Republicans to ignore him and do what is right. What happens during the public testimony will determine that.

Wow, so much of this just isn't true....

There is not a "new deal" with Mexico and Canada. Congress has not voted on it, and I don't think the Mexican government has approved it either. All you have is the executives of Canada and Mexico meeting with the King of the US, agreeing on some changes to NAFTA and renaming it....but nothing FORMAL has happened yet.

There is no agreement with China either...you are posting shit that hasn't happened. The two dictators have not even come into a complete agreement yet.

North Korea is just as much of a threat now as they were prior to Kim and Trump exchanging vows. Nothing has changed.

The tax cuts added billions of dollars to the national debt. In general, the plans Democrats have presented are paid for by various tax increases...so there is NO COMPARISON to what Trump did and what Democrats want to do. You are either just making shit up or are believing Republican propaganda.

Trump puts pressure on the Fed to lower interest rates because he is scared to death of the economy slowing down. However, if the Fed does not find some room to increase interest rates, they leave themselves vulnerable to a slowdown...because they will not have room to cut rates enough to simulate the economy. Also, lowering interest rates increases the likelihood of inflation...and the Fed knows this too...and they know that the tariffs in general also increase the pressure on inflation. So, Trump wanting lower interest rates, even when they are already incredibly low, is not necessarily a good thing.

Trump is NOT focused on "growing the economy". If you are focused on growing the economy you do not start a trade war with China. If you are focused on growing the economy, you do not add tariffs. He is focusing on things that stall the economy.

RPM wrote:

Once the economy starts to tank due to his unaffordable tax cuts for the rich and his stupid tariff wars, then the calls for removal will be deafening.

We have a new deal with our North American partners so tariffs there are no longer an issue.
There is an agreement with China that is implemented in phases which I do not care for
But he is the first President to really emphasize intellectual property theft.
I Design and build Dies for custom manufacturing so I can relate to the importance of this.
You are correct that if the economy tanks the tables will turn, it would happen to any President.
As far as the tax cuts I find it interesting neither side is talking about the deficit. Ive never seen
a President put more public pressure on the fed to lower rates which sucks if your trying to save $
However he is focusing on growing the economy so it makes sense. His tax cuts pale in comparison
to all the "free" benefits being touted by the front runners on the left.

First of all, it's schematics - and you know it. Barr is the head of the Justice Department as AG.

Second, so what if you quoted the NYT. That doesn't make it a true statement. If you actually did read the article you would know the source was an existing investigation. What you were posting was simply not true.

You go and bitch on and on about others people quoting the news and posting lies. YOU DID THE EXACT SAME THING. You don't even hold yourself up to your own standards.

What? I never said you said any of that. Quit lying so much. I am not playing word games at all. You are just making shit up and posting bullshit again. You seem to ALWAYS do that when you are caught posting something completely wrong.

The Durham probe was never initially opened a criminal matter.

That doesn't even make sense and I'm not sure what you mean. When you can write better than RPM, get back to me.

And, for the record, I don't call people who disagree with me zombies, I call people who blindly follow Trump and repeat his crazy BS seemingly without a mind of their own, Trump zombies.

No, opening an investigation that had been closed for weeks did.

That is not what that means. There can be collusion and/or coordination without a violation of law. There can be collusion and it can rise to the level of conspiracy. There can be coordination and it can rise to the level of conspiracy. Collusion, coordination and conspiracy and three different things with three different definitions.

First you argued that Rosenstein didn’t use the word collusion. That’s false

You are lying.

I said that no-where in the letter that started the investigation did the word "collusion" appear. That is a FACT, not an argument.

Do the absence of words matter or not? Make up your mind.

Winning!

The trade war, without taking into account the escalations from September, will shave off at least half a percentage point of U.S. GDP, and that much of a drag on the economy may tip it into the anticipated downturn. (According to a September Washington Post poll, 60 percent of Americans expect a recession in 2020.)

Winning!

A controversial sanctuary policy barring Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from accessing Montgomery County jails in Maryland has been partially rolled back following the arrests of several illegal aliens all charged with rape or sexual abuse in a new bid that will force cooperation between county law enforcement and federal immigration authorities.

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich reversed portions of "the Promoting Community Trust Executive Order," which he just signed in July, and will now allow ICE agents access to certain areas of the county jail in order to apprehend illegal aliens, according to reports by ABC7 News.

The move walks back an executive order which barred county police from asking individuals about their immigration status and largely prohibited local law enforcement from cooperating with ICE agents, as Elrich reasserted the blue region's stance as a sanctuary city that strongly opposes the Trump administration's hardline policies against illegal immigrants. The policy also banned ICE agents from entering any non-public county facilities.

Only a month after Elrich signed the order, at least nine illegal immigrants were charged with rape and sexual assault between August and September, causing the county executive's office to reevaluate the policy and concede that it had received "numerous phone calls, as well as emails" in light of the arrests.

Winning!

Republican Daniel Cameron made history Tuesday with his victory over former Kentucky House Speaker Greg Stumbo, becoming the first African-American to be elected the state's attorney general -- and offering a silver lining to the GOP amid drama over the state's gubernatorial race.

Further, Cameron will be the first Republican attorney general in the state in more than 70 years, a significant achievement as GOP Gov. Matt Bevin trails Democrat Andy Beshear in a tight race in which Bevin has not conceded but Democrats have declared victory.

“President Trump’s rally helped five of six Kentucky Republicans win clear statewide victories, including Attorney General-elect Daniel Cameron, who will be the first black A.G. in Kentucky history and the first Republican to hold the office since 1948,” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said in a statement. “The President just about dragged Gov. Matt Bevin across the finish line, helping him run stronger than expected in what turned into a very close race at the end. A final outcome remains to be seen.”

You said, albeit in a different post, "North Korea & isis which were such a high concern Are at least in check for now. " Nothing has really changed. Kim still launches missiles and is still working towards nuclear weapons.'

I never said Trump lowering the rates was a good thing. I think you are in such a hurry to disagree
and post arguments you do not even bother with proper comprehensive reading.

I think you forget what you write.

You said, "Ive never seen a President put more public pressure on the fed to lower rates which sucks if your trying to save $
However he is focusing on growing the economy so it makes sense."

Trump taking on China was / is a huge risk for him politically, Glad he had the balls to do it.

You're into the state level politics now, noting VA being in the DC freeloader, lobbyist area, deliver nothing beltway influence. Why do you care man? What's up in you're country? I don't get your interest. However, if you think the majority of our country thinks like the major cities with free handouts, you're wrong.

That's why the greatest country in the world put in place the electoral college to deal with freeloaders. I'm not sure how the founders come up with the process but thank God they did. Maybe they had help from above. We'll see how it goes. I truly find it interesting how someone from another country gives AF about our deal. Free handout in jeopardy? I'm not sure, but I don't get your interest as an Australian, in the USA.

The second amendment ensured our local success. It was put in place to deal with corrupt government and the ability to over throw corrupt government, nothing else. We have many, they can never get them (too many to manage), and country folk are prepared to deal with the problem. Just like the founders intended. We've invested in protection of our earned property. We've not played cowboy's vs. urbans. I hope to avoid it.

Man why would you want to get political anyhow and alienate half of your audience? It would seem to be business suicide to me. Half your income stream and here you are. I don't get it. I think Neal Schon has it right, get rid of politics and religion and let the music stand for what it is. There might be something to learn here from a $ standpoint.

This is simply NOT TRUE. The electoral college exists because the founders did not want a direct vote from the people. They did not trust the people to be informed and qualified enough to elect the President. Therefore, if a crazy orange man who admired dictators won the popular vote, the electoral college could over turn that crazy vote and elect someone sane.

The electoral college FAILED to do its job last election.

The second amendment ensured our local success. It was put in place to deal with corrupt government and the ability to over throw corrupt government, nothing else. You are a nut if you think you "country folk" can take on the United States military and National Guard. What a dumb-ass proposition.

Because he's a complete RWNJ fuckwit backed by Murdoch, who orchestrates who gets elected here and in the USA, UK and elsewhere.

For the record - any American president has influence over the rest of the world. When such an incompetent nutjob is at the helm, everyone should be paying attention.

You were not even able to correctly determine how the people in your own Country were going to vote
Yet somehow you think you have your finger on the pulse of Our Country. You had alot of company in 2016
so get the tissues ready for a repeat.

Oh, please.

He did NOT get half the votes when he was elected.
He has never seen a poll average above 50% job approval.
Now polls show 50% of the country wants him removed from office.
He is booed at sporting events along with chants of "lock him up!"

It's not that hard to deduce that the majority of Americans are tired of him.

Day 1022.

Today in one sentence: Trump asked Attorney General William Barr to hold a press conference and say that he didn't break the law during his July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky; former national security adviser John Bolton is willing to defy the White House and testify in the House impeachment inquiry; Trump must personally pay $2 million in damages for unlawfully coordinating with the Trump Foundation charity to further his 2016 presidential campaign; and Trump and "The Apprentice" creator have discussed shooting "The Apprentice: White House" after Trump leaves office.

This is crazy. We are watching the unraveling of the Presidency. If you get a chance to watch a Scaramucci interview, do it...even a short interview. He keeps nailing things. He'll say things that sound totally off the wall, but they end up being right. The last one I saw from about a week ago he said that things are just going to get worse, that more people will abandon Trump, that Trump will become even more deranged...that things will get to a point that all you will have to do to beat Trump is to be able to breath and have a pulse.

This presidency has become so dysfunctional, that I am starting to agree with the Mooch, and that Trump will resign sometime next year. He keeps saying that he thinks people like McConnell will see how much damage is being done to the party and will side with salvaging the Republican party over 'loyalty' to Trump. It seems he may be right.

I understand that you posted another lie - that Trump was not present for the Baghdadi raid.
You had to be asked several times for proof and then admitted you posted a widely debunked falsehood.

Andrew wrote:Strange also to see acknowledgement of Trump being a pathological liar, but then dismissing that out of hand. You guys just don’t care!

But if he is as you confirm, such a bald faced liar, why put any stock in the issues you believe in him for? He lies about everything but not what you want to believe?

This is laughable and devoid of credibility.

None of this matters. The question is, why do you keep falling for and posting obvious lies?
