New Cain July 4th Song - Freedom in Your Grace

Nice melody. Lyrically, it's not my bag. As mentioned before, Cain uses the word "grace" alot. Just off the top of my head, it's used in State of Grace, Lifetime of Dreams, and Out of Harm's Way. Neal says him and Cain are really clicking on Journey material - but most of Cain's social media presence seems dedicated to proselytizing. Only Neal seems psyched for new Journey music.

He bloody loves using 'Grace'

His voice sounds pretty good here.

Lyrics are a load of bollocks but the melody is nice enough

Could this mean the new material rocks? I am just guessing.

Did any of y'all catch Neal's rather public rebuke of Perry's stance on Trump's 4th of July use of DSB - the same day Jon posted how "honored" he was that it was used?

I saw Perry's statement, I think on Instagram. Didn't see anything from Neal. Jon's wife works for Trump, so not surprised he endorsed it.

Neal didn't call Perry out for his stance on DSB's recent use...from what I saw. He called him out for not stepping up to stand with Neal when it was used a couple years back, saying Azoff told him that Phillips and Perry weren't interesting in bothering with it.

That's the nonsense bullshit that Neal needs to leave alone. Not everything needs to be aired out on social media.

Keep asking about that coffee, Neal.

Cain posted a fairly innocuous clip of "our military band" playing DSB. What songwriter wouldn't be proud of that? It's a sign of our highly politicized/radioactive times that he is expected to distance himself from that. It would be a totally different thing if Trump slugged his way up to the podium with DSB blaring in the background as a campaign theme.

He didn't. Family Man is spreading fake news. For all we know, the service men and women chose to play DSB. Why should that be a point of shame?

Fair enough, I had not seen his tweet. DSB has become bigger than the three of them, and certainly bigger than Steve and Neal's passive aggressive behavior towards one another.

On a side note, I saw some social media posts by Randy Goodrum promoting his new album "Red Eye' that listed Perry as a "founding member of Journey". Not a big deal, just thought it was interesting. It was right next to a quote by Perry talking up Goodrum's work, and their collaborations.
