Steve Perry Is Beyond Fantastic

I just finished listening to the "Journey: Alive in America" album. It was recorded on May 9, 1979 in support of Journey's 1979 Evolution album. Steve sang a set of 16 songs non-stop, including 3 encore songs, and did so flawlessly!!! I've heard so many recordings of his performances and I still find myself amazed at his great talent. His musicality, his musical sense, his musical intelligence are all unbelievable!!! I'm without words to truly describe this phenomenon. His embellishment of "Patiently" is divine and beyond heaven. That special intro that he adds before "Wheel in the Sky" is magical. His performance of one of my all time favorites, "Opened the Door" is a masterpiece. His rendition of "La Do Da", "Do You Recall" and "Lady Luck is smashing. The entire concert recording is a triumph. It makes me wish I could teleport back in time and be sitting in the audience. MAGNIFICENT!
