Hey folks
Glad to see this place is still alive and kicking after all these years. Although I haven't listened to or performed Journey in a long time old habits die hard and I do drop by here to see what's what every few weeks or so.
Anyway, over the past year, I’ve spent a good bit of time rehabilitating my voice and doing some “one take” karaoke-style video performances, mostly as an excuse to stay in practice. Now that we’re all getting older, I wanted to put together a new YouTube channel where I can post any new one-off videos I make, share regular updates with old archived footage I’ve found, and try to clean up the audio on some of the old Frontiers material that’s been circulating over the years. I’ll also be uploading content from past projects like Elemental and my Jeremey Frederick recordings.
Some of you may remember after Frontiers went full-time following my experience with Journey, the band's publishing company pursued us pretty hard on YouTube and ended up shutting down most of my channels that had any Frontiers performances. No other Journey tributes seemed to be targeted in that way, but it is what it is, and now I guess after the major songwriters in the band have sold off their publishing I figured I'd give it another go, just to have some permanent archive of my time as a singer and musician.
So I wanted to share the channel here, if you are interested in seeing any new videos of me singing here in my little office or any lost or "remastered" footage of 18+ year old Frontiers footage, you can find it here.
I have 2 videos uploaded, one is a new one from last week, my take on Marcus King's soulful cover of Tom Petty's The Waiting, as well as an old multi-cam video of Frontiers performing Don't Stop Believin' in Sterling Heights, MI in 2010. I'm hoping to upload a video a week based on what I've gotten permission from others to clean up and use from their videos back in the day. Next week I'm hoping to upload a performance of Why Can't This Night Go On Forever from 2007, but the audio is pretty rough. I'm seeing if anything can be done to de-noise and EQ the video. My goal is to only have fairly high quality stuff on there, and who knows, maybe Journey will come after me again and hit me with a few more copyright strikes, haha!
Anyway you can check it out here
