AOTW is Al Stewart - Year Of The Cat... I like the Spanish guitar playing on it.

I'm a bit late, but my AOTW is Device "22B3." After two years of searching, I finally found an original copy in the used bins the other day. :D

Great one, Bobbi. Blackfoot were my fave of the southern rock bands.

My aotw is Evergrey - Recreation Day. The new Evergrey, The Inner Circle, is released next week I believe...looking forward to that one.

I just got Recreation Day yesterday. I didn't really like 'In Search of Truth' and had sort of written Evergrey off.....but Rec Day is pretty cool (on first listen)...I'll get Inner Circle when it comes out for sure.

And I have been flogging Asia - 'Arena'.......a bit mellower than I thought it would be, and certainly more AOR than early Asia with Wetton out front, but very melodic, and very easy on the ears.
Thanks again, Doggy! :D

AOTW is Talisman "Cats and Dogs." On first impression it was a mediocre comeback album, but several spins later, it has grown on me.

Dead Soul Tribe-A murder of crows.
This album is so much better than the debut. I love Devon (Buddy)'s voice and this album is probably as good if not better than any of the Psychotic Waltz albums.

Don't really know what my AOTW is... Singer of the week is Zak Stevens though. Listened a lot to Savatage and Circle II Circle. :D

I was so disappointed to read C II C are coming to play a concert here, as a support act for Blaze

Cheap Trick's 'One On One' has been the one for me. Every time that I was outside I had my walkman on blasting this on a low volume. I don't wanna go deaf!

Crazy World - Scorpions

Heard Winds of Change on the radio and then put the CD in the car and haven't been able to stop whistling the WoC intro ever since

AOTW for me is Lostprophets "Start Something"

Probably the best vocals for a nu-breed that I've heard since Ra. If you don't mind the occassional scream, then I highly recommend this.

Mine is Silent Force - Infatuator. It's a fucking shame that most people have no clue who D.C. Cooper is.

Hmmm, I know D.C. Cooper, but I seem to have missed Silent Force

My AOTW is Pink Floyd - Pulse. Visiting the Mostly Autumn concert was very inspiring!

I received a Mostly Autumn sampler CD in the last Classic Rock mag that I bought, but I can't really hear the connection between Pink Floyd and Mostly Autumn....must be missing something as EVERYONE seems to compare the two :?

Mine's Led Zeppelin IV.

I've heard Silent Force, didn't like it. It's been a few years, but in my recollection Silent Force was somewhat power metally so S-Dip would like it. I could be wrong though 'cause it's not a hobby to remember the things I don't like.

Led Zep IV will never die!!!! Image
That album still has a presence (pardon the Zep pun) a power, some kind of mystique that I can't explain.....terrific choice!!!

Mine is 'Long live Rock and Roll' - Rainbow.......apart from the legendary title track, 'LA Connection', 'Gates of Babylon', 'Lady of the lake', 'Kill the King', and 'The shed' are all fantastic tracks.......as well we have the pre-cursor to Blackmores Night in many ways, 'Rainbow eyes'.
Besides, the album has Ronnie James Dio, Ritchie Blackmore, and drum legend Cozy Powell on drums! (RIP).......throw in Bob Daisley on bass and you have an album that no self respecting rock fan could ever resist!!

Still an amazing listen to this day.......

If you like DC's solo work or his stuff with Royal Hunt, Silent Force is worth checking out. They have power metal elements to their music but I would not lump them in with the typical power metal bands...they offer much more. Someone who has their albums might be persuaded to send you a cdr if you asked them nicely...

Well, not all their songs sound like Pink Floyd... But Brian Josh sounds very much like Dave Gilmour; on the stage even more than on the albums. The subdued songs he sings and plays are heavily influenced by Pink Floyd.
