No, I've never seen them. Even though all original memebers and 3/4 of current memebers are from right here, they never play here. The live music scene in my area right now is terrible, esp. for this kind of music. Back in the 80's and early 90's the music scene here was really alive, but about the mid 90's it just went to hell and most of the clubs closed.

Hey Tali, have close look at Killswitch Engage cover then have look at 36Crazyfist cover. You think the art department of Roadrunner could come up with something orgional.

One for the girls.

Journeys, "Trial By Fire." If you havn't heard it, don't knock it. It's the band at their best, imo.

Glad you got Karma S-dip. It's a great album. :P
My album this week is Blind Guardians Night At The Opera. I'm getting myself ready for the movie Troy by listeng to And Then There Was Silence. It's a brilliant track and a shame it isn't in the movie. It should be the theme song.

Um, yes. If overrated is not the right term...lousy will do. As will uninspiring, boring, tedious and derivitive.

AOW is Jorn-Out to Every Nation...spent the past 24 hours with the bastard on repeat. First half of the cd kicks ass but the back nine(well 5) was not as pleasing.

The song about Michael wanting to Rock is pretty gay.

That song was horrendous. Overall I liked the CD, but it's not as good as his previous solo album IMO.

My AOTW is still Kamelot - Karma

Completely agree! I like the way the drums speed up when they are going to "take a spin down town"...

My AOTW is Jaded by To/Die/For. The've done a cover of Cutting Crew's Died in Your Arms Tonight and it's pretty good. Not a bad album overall and it's a shame that the band is having troubles. Not sure what is going on with them at the moment, but the singer left and then he came back and who knows what he's doing now. :?

Haven't heard of the band unfortunately but I've always liked that song.....it would be interesting to hear a reworking of it.

AOTW is Barren Cross "State of Control." Very interesting group. Basically what Crimson Glory would sound like if they were Christian Metal. I'm a bit surprised that none of their music has been reissued.

AOTW is S/T cd by Rough Cutt. I got this in mail early this week, and haven't stop playing it.
Jonny, Barren Cross's " State of Control", "Atomic Arena", and "Hotter than Hell" have been all reissued. Cheaply done I must say, they done the cover on a color photo copier.

Cheap reissue is better than no reissue. I've seen original "State of Control" copies go for $30 on eBay. Not as bad as some other rare titles, but still more than any cd should sell for.

I don't have an album of the week, since I'm still working through the stack of recent acquired discs to get further than one spin per cd.

I hope you're still running, 'Journyman' has to be the worst Maiden song ever. :D

I've been playing Ace Frehley's Loaded deck, cool version of ELO's 'Do Ya'.
