Gene Simmons - Asshole

Postby Serendipity » Fri Apr 30, 2004 1:53 am

Thought I'd check out a song from the new Gene Simmons album. I wish I hadn't listened to it. There should have been a warning this was a cover from The Prodigy. Let's hope not the entire album will sound like this.

Nevertheless, I am more looking forward to the Paul Stanley solo album, which hopefully will be released before the end of the year. I've always considered Paul Stanley to be the better songwriter.

Completely agree Serendipity, i too consider Stanley the far superior songwriter of the two and i'm much more excited about the prospect of his solo effort than Simmons' 'Asshole'.Unless this album get's rave reviews and great word of mouth - i'll be leaving it well alone.

I'm looking forward to " listening " to the new solo album Asshole by Gene because you know it's going to be great with some surprises from this rock legend speaking as an old Kiss fan!

Heard too many bad thingsa bout it to be even remotely interested in hearing it.

Maybe I'll pick it up if I see it really cheap, just for shits and giggles, or maybe download a song or 2 if someone can recommend a couple of good ones....

I d/l a couple of songs and have to say that Andrew's rating of 29% is way off...what were you thinking Andrew? Should have been more like 2%. This thing is a fucking crime on humanity. It is the worst thing I've ever heard. I'd rather get kicked in the nuts, on a daily basis, than to listen to that pile of shit again.

When I say 'a couple of songs', that is a figure of speech. It was more than an actual 'couple'...perhaps 5 or so and more samples. If, after that many songs, not one even comes close to anything, that doesn't make me wanna puke, I think it safe to assume the rest is not gonna be brilliant.

This is my opinion...if you like the record, God bless and help you.

Yes Penny...it really is that bad. :D

The process of chance discovery is correct, you lost me with the last part. The sentence is too long for me to understand in my current state...

It's also Serendipity as in the muse from Dogma BTW

I always thought Ace should name an album "Asshole" since it's more appropriate. :D

A**hole is the best solo album that Gene Simmons has released in 25 years! It cost me £1 so I can say... the title track is worth all of the £1
