I think we're still waiting on original copies of the first. He sent me a demo copy months before the initial release, but I had hoped for an original since NEH Records doesn't carry it.

Jonny, the cd of Thomas' band is real thing not a demo or cdr. I trade a cd with him a while along, and he sent his cd.

The copy I received last September was a cd-r copy with no original covers.

My AOW is Nightingale-Alive Again.

Nightingale is one of Dan Swano's many projects......the guy is a Swedish genius and can play heaps of instruments, sing full on Death Metal or really clean (he sings the low parts on Star One-Space Metal). Nightingale is slightly proggy and uses only his clean vocals...the 4 albums done by Nightingale are all part of the same story and Alive again is the most recent one (i think).

My AOTW is Yes - 90125.
Rediscovered this recently and it really is a very close relative to classic Yes albums of the 70's......uniquely oblique Anderson lyrics, coupled with invention by Trevor Rabin and some interesting rhythyms by the under-rated Alan White on drums.
'Owner of a lonely heart', 'Hold on', 'It can happen' 'Hearts' and 'Changes' are all classic Yes and classic prog rock.

Yeah, story of my life.

I'm still listening to Nightwish's Once. I like the songs now that I wasn't sure about before. I wish Marco Hietala sang more. His vocals on Siren give me chills. :D In a good way.

I don't even think I posted an AOTW for last week...

Oh well. I'll go with Kotipelto "Coldness." The first track is a classic Stratovarius clone. The rest is more a straight-forward rock album. Good second album with no fillers.

nice choice mate....and yes Alan White is very good....still prefer Bruford though.

There are 3 from Empire ....... Jet city woman, Empire, Silent lucidity. I've bought it because I didn't have a cd from Queensryche and this was a special price just 9,99 Euro. But no I've listen to it, going to buy some more :D

My AOW is TOC-Loss Angeles.....for the most part this album is run-of-the-mill Finnish Spinefarm stuff that our mate Penny would probably lap up but there are a few songs that make you sit up like 'Acid Highway' and think Whatthe Fuckonnen....didn't see that coming.
These guys used to get bagged out for being Children of Bodom clones.... but they have changed a heap.
