Pick me off the floor. Tali aren't you enjoying the new Strapping yet.
ATOW is the self titled by 70s band called STARZ.

I already wanted to include Remedy Lane in my order actually, after having listened to a couple of samples. Sounded quite alike TPE, so I thought I might like it. However, I fucked up my order, so now I'll be receiving just the Perfect Element...

Isn't it a great album? One of the best from last year.

My AOTW is Sentenced - Crimson. I think I play this album more than any other. :D

Waiting....waiting....waiting for Kamelot.

I got paid today...so i intend to be enjoying it in about 2 hrs when i pop into JB before i start teaching. I've had a couple of songs downloaded for a month or so which rip ass...i didn't want to download the whole thing though. Can't wait to hear Shitstorm and Skeksis on a good stereo.

AOTW - 'Hysteria' from Def Leppard

Got to say that 'Animal' is one of my all time favorite songs (at least this week!)
"Pray, and pass the ammunition!"
(from 'The Way the Wind Blows' - Snakes & Arrows)

My AOTW is Liesegang-White - Visual Surveillance Of Extremities. What an album this is!

I thought it would be pleasant sounding AOR like Harlan Cage (Roger Scott Craig plays on the album as well). Instead it's more like Rainbow, Dio-Sabbath, Ozzy-Sabbath and Glenn Hughes-Sabbath. It has lots of heavy riffs, beautiful bluesy ballads, a guitar hero Vivaldi piece, and one quite weird song (Last Temptation). It sounds like 70s rock and modern at the same time. Wonderful! :D

I should add I feel a bit confused now... The new Kamelot album has also arrived, and it sounds great, but it just didn't grab me as unexpectedly as the Liesegang-White album.

You mean the title?

If you mean the album, perhaps you should listen to a couple of soundbites first... When you know it's going to be a heavy album, the surprise is gone. And the surprise is part of why this album got me. ;)

Yeah, I mean the album. I really like Harlan Cage, and a heavier version of them would be great.

Oh, but it's nothing like Harlan Cage! Several of the musicians who play on the album play in Harlan Cage but that's it! And Doogie White sounds very different than L.A. Greene. Greene has a deep voice, while Doogie White is in 'Glenn Hughes mode' a lot on this album.

My AOTW is the same old same old: Within Temptation "The Silent Force." I think Masterplan is slowly dropping on my favorites list. (but is still a strong contender for #1 album of 2005.) I believe power metal seems to sound the same, and only a kickass vocalist (such as Jorn Lande) seperates the good from the awful. While as Within Temptation hasn't lost its flavor over a 5 month span. They really...really...REALLY... need to get some more promotion out there.

My AOTW is Circle II Circle - The Middle Of Nowhere. Of course I'm terribly biased now that I have seen them live, but this is a very good album. The soundbites did not do it much justice... The titletrack alone makes this album already worth buying. It has the Savatage contrapuntal vocals, and I was amazed to see how well they pulled that off live. :D

Westworld - Skin.
really interesting......sometimes it reminds me of a slightly harder Bon Jovi, other times he reminds me of Axl Rose. I like it.

Well...i when i first heard the song i wasn't aware that it was an Alanis song and i liked it. It wasn't until i'd listened to it a few times that i noticed Tony Harnell's little dodgey Alanis vocalisation....that i twigged onto it.

For the record i think Alanis is shithouse.

She was great as God in the movie Dogma.

Kamelot has arrived, I've listened to it once. I like it but I'm not sure if I love it yet.

I never noticed there was an Alanis cover on that Westworld album... Uneasy is my favourite, that's not the Alanis song? If it is I must listen to her albums.

Oh cool, don't know the original, but I'm sure I prefer Tony Harnell's voice on that song over Alanis. It was for a good reason that everybody had to cover their ears in Dogma, as soon as Alanis would speak!

Haven't seen it, probably won't bother. Not a big fan of Affleck, can tolerate Damon, but hate Morrisette as anybody! (especially herself)
I liked the depiction of God in Monty Python's 'Holy Grail'.....

Why not? I was in love with my husband before I even saw him.

S-dip, if you haven't heard it, check out Alanis's Jagged Little Pill album.

Kenny, Dogma was a good movie.
