Journey and its entire inventory of songs is a major source of income for the present band members, from a financial perspective it was vital for them to continue. Yes, they have released some new material in the 7 post Perry years, but it’s hardly the repertoire of a band on the rise. They choose instead when touring to rely heavily on the tried and trusted back catalog, of which on nearly every song Steve Perry has a songwriting credit. Due to this fact, without lifting a finger, or moving a sore hip, Perry will forever and always be a member of Journey.
Totally agree. Great post.

They are out there beause they put themselves in that predictament. I really doubt that Perry sees this as $$$ but even if he did good for him. Wouldn't we all want our investments in stock to rise?

True you only hear the Steve Perry era any other material fails in comparison. It is really up to the man himself if he'll sing again or not guess we have no other alternative but to wait and see.
