 I was hoping my comment would have had a more peeved reaction of course.......

I must admit that is the way I have conducted many of my relationships......you both take turns at accomodating each others friends. Kel has a friend coming to stay with us for 4 days on the school holidays - I have already been informed that I will need to take them out and be the 'skipper'

That will be interesting!

Have fun S-dip and get those guys working!

Seriously, when I saw that picture I must admit that for a while, it got quite emotional. My mother was visiting me at the moment and asked what was the matter with me. I told her that it made me realise that you have to let people know how much you love them and care for them while they're still living. Now I'm glad that I told him as well as I tell my mother how much I care for her, one day it might be to late! I'm also glad of the fact that I got to meet Phil and I'll never forget that moment as long as I live. I also realise how much the music meant to me, posters on the wall, going to concerts, getting backstage and all that waiting at the hotel. Those were the days!

Time for rehearsal, crank it up!

Be strong, Kenny... just think of when you're back at home you can have all the drinks you want! I'm afraid you're going to need them... Going out with two tipsy girls whilst remaining sober... oh dear!

Thomasha, the band wanted a break... I allowed them one, since they had finished one song already. Did I do alright?

Nah, they added new parts to it and recorded it as well... That's a pretty good job in such a short time. I have everything perfectly under control from my balcony office.

A balcony office which I dare say is probably furnished by a comfy chair, a table, a bottle of liquor and some cigarettes........I wonder, is the noise a problem in an apartment, or are the neighbours easy going and open minded?
Or is everything committed straight to DAT, all the band members wearing headphones??

Saturday is/was a good night to rehearse.....but in a more relaxed drunken way!!

That's a very good description of my office! The bottle of liquor is not next to me yet though... That's for tonight, when me and the boys are going to relax from a hard day's work.

Noise is a problem in all apartments over here, but people don't complain easily about that. It just comes with living in an apartment building... I don't think there will be complaints, the recordings are being done with headphones, but the instrument is on low volume as well, for the others to hear it. But it's only one instrument at a time that gets recorded, so it isn't very noisy at all! And in the meanwhile I have the bandmember who has nothing to do drop into my 'office' for a smoke and a chat. Very 'gezellig'! (really hard to translate... it comes down to 'having a good time')

So my suppositions were correct in terms of noise.......I wish I could sit there with you now on your balcony and have a drink or five - we could know each other very well as friends after a few evenings like that!!

Is it a demo recording or for an album?

So, what am I gonna do tonight? Man, it's boring when you're all on your own. :(

A drink or five, huh? What a modest amount that is, or do you mean five doubles?

It would be nice though, if you could be here as well. ;)

If there's a party, will there be a swimming pool? It's freakin' 95 degrees right now! (35 Celcius,) I was putting some cassette stuff to computer and I thought the ribbon was gonna meld with the tape deck.

Oh, I'd like to share a drink too! Right before dinner I had a great glass of Islay Scotch, that left a taste for more.

You had a real bargain with those CDs!

Thomasha, we should have that AOR party one day. I even have an inflatable swimmingpool I can bring with me for us all to plunge in, should the weather be very hot! ;)

Please don't complain... the first week of june we had temperatures of just over 12 C... Last week it was about 95F over here too, and I loved every minute of it. I hope ot stays that way unto September. If not, I'd love to trade places. ;)
